The Limp Struggle to Sneak into the top 4 2021/22

Arse have 2.5 days between games this week, as do West Ham. We have an extra days rest. Plus Villa's form is decent (for them) and then Arse go into a tricky April: they go to Palace, Southampton and Cheslea and have Brighton and Utd at home

I do think we still have a reasonable shot at 4th

They have a good and settled first 11. If they keep away from injuries and get a weeks rest between games then they will win most of them.

A three game winning streak would make things look rather different for sure.

Even just making it two wins in a row, stop this ridiculous lose every other game streak. West Ham will be tough though. Even with them having a quicker turn around, us and three games in 8 days... Probably an unchanged lineup, no rotation.

Need to show that we can deal with it, that we've improved and are taking steps in the right direction.

I think we have it in us to make the NLD really big and important. What happens then is a different question.

On wham, bowen is out for our game and I expect them to rush back antonio tonight who will likely breakdown and miss our match too.

His went off with a hamstring injury a few days ago and the way he plays means he is going to have problems if he plays without being fully recovered.

Cresswell and Vlasic out for our game too and probably Antonio too which would be handy

We need to be winning matches. This win one, lose one, is getting us nowhere fast. We lost huge points at home with Soton and Wolves and away at Burnley. West Ham game is a must win and so will be the Arsenal game, if we are to challenge for 4th.

And it takes points off our peers which is what mattered most at the weekend. That chance to hurt them as much as it hurt us was missed

That's what you think now, but they'll still run rings around us as our guys are just never motivated against them.

Its been a problem for a while. Not enough of our players are fired up enough for these West Ham and Arsenal derby games, whereas their players know exactly what it means to their fans.
That said, them playing an extra 30 mins tonight will do us no harm, rather them playing it than us

Then the fans need to try motivate them.

Seems like you’re implying it’s our fans fault we’ve done badly again them when it matters in the previous years.

Do you reckon Conte’s plan only works if we’ve got thousands of blokes yelling “score a goal you clams!!!”?
