Tanguy Ndombele

The system worked well against Liverpool and was probably our best team performance under Conte

One could argue it worked inspite of Tanguy not because of him, and he only lasted 60 minutes. Even if I wanted him to start every league match the issue is the only time he started one was when our midfield was hit by COVID. Unfortunately it seems Conte does not trust him.

I think a better comparison is since they’ve both been at Spurs and when playing in central midfield, which makes things look a lot closer:

Considering Ndombele has for the most part been getting sub minutes throughout his time at Spurs and Hojberg plays every single match those stats do Hojberg no favour in this comparison. One has the rhythm and security of playing every game seemingly no matter the performance, the other has rarely been selected for multiple games in a row.

But one plays as a smart and the other a creator?
And sub minutes means he comes on against tired legs so in theory his superior technique and ability (not shown in the diagram) should come to the fore

I was so excited when he signed. Convinced he was the Dembele replacement. It’s telling that every manager has questioned his work ethic.
Happy to see him go this window. He’s had more than long enough to prove himself here
The guys got the tools, he really has.
Moussa didn’t settle into CM until later in his career. He started as a CF, the WF then CM which maybe helped his awareness. And of course he was as tough as any player. Tanguy lacks that toughness but has the skill

Think it's pretty clear conte doesn't want tanguy. So stats and that don't really matter that much. Just hope someone fancies him. May have to loan him out first.

I think that’s the issue finding a buyer
He is perfect for Barca for me
Maybe trade him in for Dest and some money
That way we get a RWB and Tanguy gets a club that suits his style of play

Could help them with registering torres. Think they need to raise €32m in outgoings/save on wages to meet the 4 to 1 ratio of out goings to incomings. Due to how player amortisation works. If they buy tanguy the value would be spread over the length of the contract, but selling dest they can add to their finances immediately. So even if they end up giving us money it will help towards their la liga spending limit. It's what they did with arthur and pjanic. Unfortunately for paratici (and juve), juve are listed on the italian stock exchange so might have been illegal (if they inflated the value of the players).

I’m just guessing about the Dest thing
It helps that Paratici has a relationship with them it seems (Arthur deal and the royal deal too off the top of my head)

Another waster. Should be top of our sales list. Totally unsuited to the physical demands of the PL to say nothing of Conte's high intensity style. Can't believe what Poch saw in him for Spurs.
