Next Manager?

For me if that's true it's one of the worse things to come from the board. Pick a manager based on his vision and philosophy and the club's vision and philosophy, not based on what the Daily Mail would say.

Instead what are going to do, try and poach him in a few years when he's proved himself at a better team? Last time we tried that the target ended up Bayern manager.

thats the thing, surely that's what matters.

Brighton are 7th for xG and 7th i think for maybe shots on goal, or something in attacking sense.

They're 15th for goals scored.

what that tells us artificially is they play attacking football under Potter, but don't have Kane/Son to put it in the onion bag (nor will we next season, wa-hey!). I think Potter could be a great hire, along with Rodgers too. Certainly less risky than Ten Hag.

he's a nob, he says stupid things, he has a painting of himself on his wall, he uses 80's style business management techniques such as the 3 names in envelopes

he's the Alan partridge of football

Ok fair enough.I bet all those things were when he was Liverpool manager and 'Scoucified' though...has he been/said any of those since he left Liverpool? Or even since taking over at Leicester?

possibly blinded by being too close but my perception is that we are a much much bigger club than Leicester

We might be, but we were also bigger than Emirates Marketing Project (in real non-monopoly football terms, probably still are).
We are almost certainly not in a better place as a club right now though.

Leaving all allegiances aside given the state of the two clubs and how the owners operate i think he'd be mad to come to us right now. I still can't see it

It’s how clubs should think
But most clubs just Chuck £££ at it and hope

Fits Chelsea well as he seems like the new Mourinho to me, new negative tactics. Not saying he’s a bad manager though he still has a lot to prove.

He left both Dortmund and PSG after relationships with club hierarchy broke down. He's also renowned for micro managing his players. Can't see him lasting more than two seasons at Chelsea either.
