What? He's one of the only outfield players who have. There are lots of other players I will point the finger at and our rather out of his depth coach.

When we need the points he doesn't turn up, same as Son. Lewandowski would have turned up in this game and thats the difference.

Hard to judge it based on today. They have an experienced world class manager, spent hundreds of millions....we have a 29 year old manager who had been in the job less than a week

And a squad which is 70% average.

There was an element of jobs for the boys with Mason today I thought. Winks playing the whole game and Alli coming on instead of Lamela (not that that made any difference). He probably had fantasies of winning the cup with all his mates.
Winks was fine IMO
The defence was good too considering
Agree that dele coming in was odd and for Hojdjberg too who I thought was playing well

Game was lost the minute, the second Sissoko came on for Lo Celso. That killed it, completely and finally.

Lo and behold, the stumbling oaf then loses Laporte at a free kick twenty minutes later.

I don't blame Mason for anything. This is only his second game, he didn't know how useless Sissoko is as a professional footballer.

But, learn lad. These are the things you need to learn - whom to rely on, who is a useless liability.

Thr other thing I was baffled about is how he took Lo Celso off and left Winks on for the whole game, but I suppose they're friends or something and Mason didn't have the heart to sub his useless mate. But, again - learning experiences.

Ah, well.

So the player that should have been sent off scores the winner, from a free kick in a similar position to where we were denied a blatant one a bit earlier. Cheers ref you useless clam.

He wouldn’t have been sent off. He doesn’t dive in on a yellow.

it’s not an excuse.

Who knows, we might just have stolen it, but frankly City gave us a footballing lesson. Their movement, ball-winning and passing game made us look third-rate all game.

Truth is we need to find a manager who will take this team by the scruff of the neck and drill them ruthlessly if we are to have any chance of competing for the title.

When we need the points he doesn't turn up, same as Son. Lewandowski would have turned up in this game and thats the difference.
Kane? The Guy who wins games on his own? What did you think he could do today when the midfield was non existent? Novice manager against a well honed system equals one result.
