Not only did they not test them there was no effort to track them... complete and utter incompetence.

Agreed, in fact I believe that if you could get a flight from Milan to London now you could stroll through customs and get straight onto the tube no questions asked? I don't think we have any restrictions for incoming arrivals from any country do we?

Captain 2nd opinion. The clues were that every other country on the planet was doing something differnt. The 'he told me to do it' defence doesn't really hold when you have the fate of a country in your hands.

I know you'd dearly love to pin this on Conservatives but it's not going to happen. Their performance has been exemplary to this point, and they're showing that they're likely to continue that way despite Labour fudging us out of all our money when they should have been paying down debt.

That answer wasn't and isn't good enough, so we got highly respected experts to improve on the answer. I would still choose the herd immunity route, but I can understand why a govt that has to rely on uninformed voters might not.

A few posts ago you were saying it is easy to make the right choice in hindsight. Now you are saying that herd immunity was actually the right choice. So which is it?

Distancing, isolation, testing, tracing and all done quickly was the right choice then as it is now. It saves lives. Singapore and SKorea have shown this to be the correct course of action if done correctly.
