Blimey. Picking up a new car earlier than I wanted to because I suspect that all showrooms will be compulsorily locked down and the staff sent home at some point tomorrow. Chatting to girl on reception who was astonished to hear that people had died, incredulous when I said that the lockdown would be a matter of months not days, but wanted to check - as I was so well informed - whether it was true that the Chinese government had started the thing deliberately to kill Trump. I lead quite a sheltered life and don’t encounter that sort of thing often, so I’m even more discombobulated than I am already by all this.

Italy’s death toll overtaken China. Even tho China’s numbers will maybe be false.

What’s happening in Italy that’s frightening if that’s what we can expect over here.
