It is a case that you put yourself in those situations enough times you eventually fall over the line, once we do you will see a different club

Yeah I agree with that. Look at Liverpool. They lost a bunch of big games but got to a final where they were strongish favourites and really didn’t turn up but, luckily for them, we didn’t really turn up either and they got gifted an early goal when a 0-0 game deep into it may have had the nerves jangling.

Glad to hear Poch and Harry’s quotes coz I still can’t really acknowledge that game. On the evening I was gutted but not especially fuming or raging with the team or anything but as the summer has gone on, it’s really hurt a whole lot more. I hope that’s the case for the squad because it’ll stand to them next time we’re in that position. I just hope it’s in the PL or CL.
 
What’s happening with Pochettino angrily stating that he has no powers over transfers? Could this place a rift in the club between Levy and Pochettino? Could he decide to leave as he feels he has diminished powers? Or is it a lot less than that?
 
Just wondering what people’s take on this is as he didn’t seem too happy about it all. But maybe other people have a different understanding of it.

Laughing it off is no solution.

Would you imagine Klopp or Guardiola saying something similar? Hardly!

So why should Poch? I have backed Levy since day 1 but he is risking Poch just throwing everything out of the pram and walking away. And he would be snapped up in a heartbeat by most other clubs. These words from a coach of his proven quality do not shed good light on the situation - however anyone would like to rose tint it.

Discussion of it has been moved over to the OMT for some reason.
Everyone is in denial, trying to be 'sensible' and acting like this is normal.
 
I don’t think anything has changed, Levy has been pretty rigid in on the financial strategy for years, one CL final won’t change that.

The new stadium and raised profile will hopefully increase the budget but the formulas on the spreadsheet, and whether that cell is green or red, won’t change.
 
Seemed like odd thing to say. It’s made the back page of the brick rag The Sun.

He seems tinkled off about something. I personally am starting to become concerned. He’s not passing up the Madrid job again and they’ll be knocking before end of season as ZZ not seeing out this season.

We’ve come a long way and Poch is pivotal to that. Squad looks on par with last season if not weaker at RB. Yet things are quiet in transfer market for us at moment. Is he being backed ? I do wonder sometimes

Always the way when it comes to Poch on here. He’s the one person that no matter what he says there will be excuses made for his words. Whether it’s his English isn’t that good, he actually meant something different to what he actually said and is playing some super clever mind games or several other great excuses that have been made on here - it can never just be he’s in the wrong for certain things he’s said.....

You brought it up didn't you? The first question he's asked is about Danny Rose, a question he'd already fudging answered. You could see him make up his mind from there that he wouldn't be taking the presser seriously.

This is nothing new for Poch. He isn't drawn on transfer speculation. If he's not privvy to some deals going on, how can you say that means he's certain we're not singing any more players? It's totally contradictory.

He knows exactly what's going on, he may be slightly frustrated with the pace of the dealings but that's it.

I am confident we will sign more players. Poch needs to be as patient as us fans.

Of course if you are a fair person you could also say that no matter what he says they are SOME on here who will find something to complain and worry about in what he says. :)
