Cheatski are still scum

That Chelsea parked the bus and played negatively I can understand as they were obviously the lesser team, but it's their cheating, unlikeable players and that they're such a horrible team that makes it so hard to take. "Champions" my arse.

The lesser team whose squad was worth considerably more than their opponents..

It reminds me of when Liverpool won it. Basically brick through the whole competition, boring, negative, and yet inexplicably find themselves in the final.

Obviously once in the final anything can happen

Thought Contento looked very good, as did tymoshuck.

But Gomez was just dreadful, had so little influence in the game, often misjudged the flight of the ball, didn't challenge properly in aerial duels, and worst of all, missed 3 easy chances and should have had a tap in when Olic cleverly guided the ball in to his path instead of blasting it in to Cech, any striker with instinct would have been following that one in rather than standing there scratching his fudging stupid feminine face. fudging ****. Robben and Ribery also brick.

Feeling the same. I too just can't feel positive about next season, especially if Redknapp is the manager. We will need a big-name manager with a proven track record who knows how to get the best out of the players. Don't think Redknapp are capable of lifting the players' morale anymore.

I think we are stuck whether we had qualified for the CL or not. If we had qualified Redknapp couldn't have justifiably been sacked. The fact that we haven't means that we are not able to attract a so called big-name manager. Sacking Redknapp and appointing an unproven young manager with potential such as Rodgers or Martinez is too much of a risk. If it all went wrong we could be set back years, though I have now resigned myself to the fact that we will never consistently challenge the elite until some egotistical Arab bowls up with half if his countries wealth and just fancies chucking loads of it at Spurs.

I specifically remember 3 posters (probably more tbh) stating how great Gomez is. A few even had the audacity to claim he was better than RVP. When they said it i laughed uncontrolobly and yesterdays performance was one of the worst i've ever seen from a frontman. Ade has NEVER put in a performance as bad as that for us.

do you know where that thread is?

i have totally forgotten who said that, actually i remember one but he sticks out in this place like an spoilt rich immature brat thats got nothing better to do than to tinkle people off

Gomez in the top 10 strikers in the world if i remember correctly.

what a fudging joke that guy is

sure he may be able to finish well, but for me thats all that may or may not separate him from other strikers. and you know what, i know i havent seen enough of him over the last 2 years but prior to that in that contest that germany played in where he was abysmal, think it was 4 years back? and the last 3 displays against real and chelsea.......thats it for me.

someone caled him the darren bent off germany. i think thats about a perfect description...actually bent has better movement and is more athletic.

fudging hell

Neuer (good penalty btw).......please no more mention of him either as a world class or top class keeper. punching balls into danger he should be catching.....

i hate hype, i hate media and ....arrrrgh

Agree on Gomez, but Neuer is a class keeper.

I know exactly who said it!

No. As we finished 4th and should have been admitted to the UCL we get given a group stage spot automatically by default. Its how the system works. Its like a sorry for not allowing us to enter the UCL by saying we don't have to qualify.

Well not quite. Noddy1991 quoted it spot on. The Cup Winners of the the leading 6 countries automatically qualify for the Group stages of the EL. As Chelsea took our spot in the CL, we take their place in the EL Group Stages.

Pretty sure had Liverpool won the FA Cup we would have had to play a qualifying round

there really is no justice in football ! cheat$ki really are a horrible club through and through , certainly since abramovic has been there.
most of the players are really dislikable : terry (everything), loiuse (cheat and dirty player), lampard to a certain degree, drogba with his diving/play acting , cole (everything), ivanovic punching people , mata greed, malouda & essien dirty players , and basically the whole team constantly moan at refs , the owner ( russian mafia ) the fans ( racist arrogant) .

constant doggy decisions and luck in games

lets be honest , if the russian hadnt brought cheat$ki we would have had alot more success , they would have been out of bussiness , we should have got some of the players they had , qualiified for champions league more often .

constant tapping up of modric affected the start of our season !

morinio was even supposed to be coming to spurs before abramovic popped up with his billions.

i hate cheat$ki even more than arsenal , at least they do things the right way ( well most of the time anyway )

it does make you feel like giving up with football , although that would be incredibly hard after following it for the last 35 years

with both city and cheat$ki both winning the major trophys this year though it does prove that any billionare can just walk in from no where and buy success at the highest level and that is a real shame for football

you only have to also look at the very top of football as well and see the like of blatter & platini to see it is corrupt from the top down ...

Why are there no signs of investigation about Fulop's so called performance against Arsenal? Not to sound like a sore loser, but if an ex-Arsenal keeper had "missed" that weak backpass or punched the ball in his own net like that in the last game against United a few years ago, we would not hear the end of it, not least from David Dean. We still managed to lose that game perfectly on our own, mind.

I pretty much think that after Ferdinand's goal, the players collectively realised the implications, and continued to 'go easy' on United (easier done than said, I realise!)

maybe THIS is payback for that game... to add to the Mendes goal, lasagne-gate, it's STILL haunting me!!!

The worst part is their cancerous effect on everyone else. Chelsea offer Modric a massive contract and City give Ade a 170k per week contract which is ridiculous really, but now we are put in an even more ridiculous position where if we want to challenge and keep them we have to match this. Of course then we have to give pay rises to the others - we dont have a sugar daddy. In a recession, you surely cant get much more money out of our fans (though they'll try). So what next put the club at financial risk to compete or just accept that you cant compete and be happy to make up the numbers.

Of course as you say maybe we'll be bought out and be on the other side of the problem. I dont think anyone is happy with any of these solutions but the fact remains that this is the reality of football in 2012.

When watching the Football League Show, I often look at the crowd of some of the L1/2 teams and wonder what is their motivation for going to support a team who will never challenge for top honours? Its all about passion, heart and an sense of history and belonging.

I have woken up this morning feeling resigned to the fact that unless some rich arab, or russian oligarch knocks on the door of WHL (which I don't think I'd want anyway) with incredibly deep pockets that we will never be able to challenge for the top honours.

So why will I keep going to games to support the team? Because I can currently afford it, I enjoy it, and who knows, "little old Tottenham" might even be able to take points off of the big boys, influencing the eventual destination of the title!?

There manager fudged it by taking off Muller thinking they had won.

They lost there shape and conceded.

no they didn't

they conceded because Drogba can head a ball more accurately and harder than most people can kick it.

Neur didn't come out of it with too much glory, that ball came from a relatively long way for a header and he had a hand to it
