OMT ***Tottenham Hotspur v Real Madrid***

Great win, can't wait to be told by all the experts that Harry, Deli, Toby, Hugo, Jan, Danny, etc will have to leave to achieve anything.

Also enjoyed this translation from an article in Marca:

On the other hand, the hard defeat, the slap in the face, does not come against a big European , but against a second row, without continental descent or glitter in the Champions , although we must recognize the strength of the Pochettino boys . The Argentine, on the other hand, is already on pole to one day train at the Bernabéu .

Poch is going to train on a pole in Bernabeu? :p

To be fair, they're missing their first choice RB, GK and one of their best CBs. Also let Pepe go last summer.
But it says something that the mighty Real Madrid don't have adequate cover. We have injuries too, but look at our bench compared to Real Madrid! And we lost our best defender, and didn't look weaker.

Some on here were suggesting that our bench tonight was strong.

Considering our rapid descent into Crisis Club after our massive run of two defeats on the bounce the level of calmness and composure from the entire team was immense. And exceedingly satisfying,
Don't worry in the cold light of day we will be told of all the errors that were made by the manager and individuals tonight, some people aren't happy unless they've got something to moan about.

While our win was thoroughly deserved, I thought that we got the breaks going for us for the first time - Trips marginally offside for Deles first and then his shot was deflected in for 2-0. In the past that sort of luck has usually gone against us in crucial games.

While I would agree that we made our own luck today with some fantastic football - maybe we were also due some well overdue Kama. However it happens, long may it continue. COYS

And of course our entire squad and Poch will be lured away in January...

Great win tonight. Incredible that we could/should potentially win this group after a lot of neutrals thought we would finish 3rd again.

Thought Winks and Kane were immense.

Only slight worry is why Sissoko keeps getting game time over Dembele.

That was amazing but I think we could have scored another few if we had shown a little more composure at times. How mad is that?

I have been praising Sissoko a lot of late, and he deserves the praise, but he was crap tonight. There is no denying it. But who cares :)
