Feels like a bit of an overreaction going on here?

2 pre season games on the same day, fielding 2 sets of teams that will never ever play together again, under a new manager and coaching team who’ve only been with the players 2 weeks!

Today was only about fitness and getting extra minutes in the legs of the key 22-25 players.

I hate pre season games!

What I would predict is our squad looks loads different come close of window than it does today, thats when its time to judge IMO
 
I lost a decent chunk of money on it that's why I'm worked up. My own fault for betting on a friendly haha. By tomorrow I will see the game for what it is I hope!
 
Wow there are some lightweights in our supporters, of course it was not a good performance but it gave a lot of players some game time. The result in these games does not really matter that much it more important to get some fitness into our legs.

Sad to say but some are really going overboard about our performance.

I remember some tremendous PSFs when we have gone on to have abysmal seasons.

I promised myself I would enjoy the Cup win when it comes and I will continue to, not letting week 2 in PS ruin it.

That is a distant memory. Plus let’s face it that first 10 helped that finish. The last 28 was patchy and we just done enough.

Look if you think our squad is good enough I’m happy for you.

I watch us and see some mediocre players. As I’ve said in previous threads our fan base and posters here over sell our players.

Not many better clubs sniffing round our squad . We have a few good players on their day.

I get it’s pre season so not fussed about performance of the team but I still see same old players who should have been gone. Let alone some crap we’ve signed over the last few years.

This is not a new position I’ve taken. I said this last summer. I thought our Summer window was pretty naff. We paid 60+ for Solanke. Poor business that. He’s not a top goal scorer never has been. Never will be. One example of something we need to address.
 
On the positive side

- Wilson looked good, would be nice to see him and Kudus on opposite sides chasing a game
- We get the ball into the box more, Porro's passing will be a big thing
- Sarr playing that late into box midfielder role and scoring a couple.

I'll never think the squad is "good enough". But it's a "good" squad. The players aren't mediocre. Just not world class.
