*** Tottenham Hotspur vs. Hull City OMT ***

Hull have one half decent player in Snodgrass, if we don't win by 2, its a disappointing night, and I hope Dawson especially of our old boys gets the "you're spurs and you know you are" treatment.

Dawson got a fantastic reception last season. 'One Michael Dawson' ringing out for ages before and after the game. I'd expect similar tonight.

After the disappointing defeat to ManU, we badly need to win this match to get back to winning ways. After all, we have only won 2 out of 8 league matches since beating ManCity. Also we need to win to stay in the top 4 race. We have an excellent record against Hull, winning 5 and drawing 2 of our last 7 matches against them. But we did lose 1-0 to Hull at home in 2008 and that was our only PL/Div1 defeat to them. So, we cannot get complacent against them. No doubt that all our ex players like Dawson and Hudd will be fired up to prove a thing or two against us.

Kane had a poor game against ManU. And he didn't score against Hull home or away the last time we played them in 2015. He has not been at his best this season, despite scoring 8 goals. Let't hope he will be back to his goal scoring best against Hull. Similiarly, players like Son and Alli were poor against ManU. They have to lift their game against Hull, especially Son. Hull are the kind of teams Son should be scoring against. Wish Janssen is fit to play in this match. For some reason, feels like Janssen can have a good match against Hull if he plays. Too bad Lamela is still out injured. He can really make a difference against teams like Hull as well.

Our midfield have not been at their best recently. Wanyama has been too inconsistent while Dembele seems like struggling with injuries. So won't mind if we change our midfield partnership in this match. Dier can come in for Dembele. But maybe we can try Sissoko in centre midfield as well. Sissoko had a decent match against ManU when he came on. Maybe he can use his big body size to control the midfield. Getting a bit annoyed with Eriksen. He has scored a few goals lately but not sure why he still cannot score from freekicks. Pochettino really should be training someone else to take the freekicks. Wish we can drop Alli for a few games. He has been very poor in recent matches. Let's hope all our midfielders will come good in this match.

The return of Alderweireld against ManU was a welcome boost to our defence. But it was disappointing the way we conceded the goal to ManU. Alderweireld looked rusty the whole match. Maybe he will need time to get back his best form. Let's hope he will be back to his best in this match. Lloris should be demanding that our defence stop Hull scoring in this match. With due respect to Hull, we should be stopping them scoring against us, even if they have many of our former players. Will be very disappointed if we don't keep the clean sheet in this match.

We beat Hull home and away in 2015. So, there is no reason whatsoever why we cannot win this match. Just hope we won't let the ManU defeat affect us. We badly need to win this match to stay in the top 4 race. Let's hope we will perform to our best and get a comfortable win.

Hull weren't in the division last season.

I can't wait for his testimonial. I was hoping it might be the last ever match at the Lane, but it looks like it won't be for a another couple of years still (it was announced by the club a while ago that it will be after his retirement)

Why would Dawson have a testimonial? He didn't play here for a full 10 years, he will have left us at least four years before we move into the new stadium and we've had at least four better centre-backs than him over the last decade.

I did like the guy when he was here and he deserves a warm welcome whenever he returns to the Lane, but seriously, don't cheapen genuine legends like King by gushing over people like Dawson like that.

How long did he play here for?
