Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

Liz Truss was supposedly a wrecking ball. That worked out well.

Whereas we currently aren’t recruiting enough.

Reform voters will be very tinkled off when they rock up to their appointments to find they’re being looked after by doctors from Africa and India. I live next door to one of them who is in the middle of cancer treatment, and he is. He doesn’t seem to be able to make the connections though.

My local Dr, who is lovely BTW is a British Muslim and was told to f off back home.....so I don't share the idea that most are ok with immigrants who contribute, it's a romantic notion but this country has as much of a bigot issue as it does immigration

Farage promised reports on how to deal with stuff months ago which he hasn't delivered, I get people want change but no one seems to care about the small print. And that's other people's fault apparently

You are the one incapable of making the connections.
See what life is like on the council estates. With the scum that is here. People are living in terror.
But no, say maybe we shouldn't let in all these criminals, is racist and means you don't want a doctor.
Seriously then you get surprised when a brexit happens or reform is leading in the polls?

Bury your head in the sand. But i'm telling you. People are that tinkled off and desperate we could see another hitler.
Cool and people get that but it doesn't mean people can be mindlessly racist for those that then call it out to be wrong.

If a bloke has to hide in a shop all night because some thugs have run a muck in Southport I don't buy the idea that it's just immigration out of control and fear that means someone's travelled 100 miles to do that, or burn down immigrant hotels.

Yes some live in fear but many also use that fear to Stoke up violence and prejudice against innocent people. And that's equally out of control.

The level of racism online and social media that's not being censored because of "free speech" is fudging grim

You've got people getting arrested for tweets.

These issues should have been sorted out 20 years ago. If you want to have net immigration of 300k+ a year build 300k houses a year. Hospitals etc... not 30k.
If they commit crimes. Deport them.
Bring in people that are going to be a benefit to society not a burden.
If they are asylum seekers. Take in the most vulnerable, the women and children. That are prioritised by the un. Not men that jump through different countries to try and find a place they can make the most money.

Did they do that? No. They just took in anyone and shoved them in the most deprived areas and let them fight it out with the locals.

It’s the idea that the problems on council estates are new, or down to immigrants, that makes me laugh hardest. I grew up on one in Northern Ireland in the 1970s and 1980s; there wasn’t a black or brown face in sight, and it was full of petty criminals and violent tossers, in amongst some lovely people trying to get on with life.

Did you get albanians forcing you to store drugs in your flat or they'd kill you?

Which in england we didn't have. Trust me things have gotten worse over here.
Although in ireland they don't seem too happy. Either side of the boarder.

Errmmm my mate in the historic crimes force seconded from the MET to Liverpool and it 100% happened here too, along with police cover ups which he is also involved to oust

Errmmm you been on council estates in the last 20 years? fudge sake i've got sword fights happening on my street at 16:00 in the afternoon.

Last year i was in phnom penh. American guys saying baz you have to be careful. Last year there was an australian guy that got beaten up snd robbed was in a coma for 6 months. I told them that happens on my road every week.
I came back within a week on my road there were 3 stabbings (2 fatal) and an acid attack (by a daughter on her own mother).
I've lived here on and off for 46 years. It was never this bad. It just doesn't get reported anymore.

This country has become hell. Anyone with money and sense will leave.

I don't particularly care what they think. We can't afford increases so they should wait until we have a government that can grow the economy.

Liz Truss wasn't a wrecking ball as she didn't have the confidence, conviction or gravitas to pull it off. She was humiliated and forced to hand over control.

Thatcher was a wrecking ball in the late 70s/80s. We need that level of transformation and reform again, with someone that won't back down and is Teflon coated.

I wouldn't agree with that. It's not perfect, but it's heading in the right direction, whereas England seems to be following the US 'model'.
