***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham***

Shiit first half cost us really, we were better in the 2nd but still didn't play well. West Ham deserved their win just about.

I'm not too down about it though, given the other results tonight. We'll beat the goons and Watford will beat Leicester and when it's all said and done, we will be top after the next round of fixtures is done.

Chadli would get outmuscled by Taylor Swift.

That is generally my impression....ah well, onwards, we cant be that poor again on Saturday can we? I see a draw against the goons, both sides knackered. But I'm pessimistic by nature and don't believe that Dembele will be back anytime soon (please may I be wrong)...

We were awful but it is difficult to be angry given how consistent we've been this season....we were due a performance like this and to be honest couldn't have picked a better game in terms of other results.

Leicester and Arsenal had bankers while ours could have gone anyway yet only 1 point was gained! City also lost.

We dust ourselves off, put it down as an incredibly bad day at the office and go again!

It was like the 1980s trying to get out of there...riot police everywhere....escort round the houses straight onto the train!

Safely out...on way home and never need to go back again.

Let them have this, there will be plenty more twists and turns....a wake up call every now and then is never a bad thing....we move on!

Both teams had to play on that pitch which was a bit dodgy on Saturday (I was watching on telly tonight but it didn't look that much worse)
Difference being that your lot expected and set up for a dodgy pitch.

That's our problem though - if we dedicate all our training time and player acquisition to playing football, then we're going to come unstuck against a head tennis team on a ploughed field.

West Ham fan here ... I come in peace lol. Been reading through the knee jerk reactions and feeble WHU insults (much like you will find on the West Ham forums re Spurs!). A few points

No one seems to have spotted that Kouyate was the reason you looked so average

On another day, both your CBs could have been sent off

Still think you will win the league - good luck
On any other day neither of would have been booked, and on another day half of our lot should have been booked 3 or 4 times for kicking the ball away.

West Ham were terrior like today in that first half. First time a team has really stopped us playing. Lanzini and Payet are terrific player, and the energy the side showed clearly showed just how motivated they were tonight. Fair play.

Was a horrid spectacle though. I know you won, but honestly that was at times no better than a typical Big Sam performance. I'm disappointed that we struggled to cope with the physicality today but as Pochettino said I think a few easy misplaced passes saw our confidence (in the pitch) drain a little and we found it difficult to get out.

I think also it's a little unlucky to draw both West Ham and Arsenal in the same week in the middle of a run where we are playing 2 games a week for the foreseeable future. Hope West Ham get a few wins against our rivals (as well as drop some against lesser sides!) and enjoy your last few games at the Boleyn. Had some good memories there!

People rave about him because of his goals and he has scored some really important ones but duck me we have built this team on solid foundations and that's defend from the front to the back

He doesn't do any of that at all... And his effort for their goal with the back pass was awful. I'll forgive letting the man go because that happens but he looked to me to do a lot of tinkle poor stuff

He is perfect against teams that don't attack a she will shoot and doesn't need to defend but he is generally poor against sides that fight and have a go. He is a flat track bully and better than a lot of our players at that

Let them have that win, it's the highlight of their season beating us. Was never going to be easy to play our game on that pitch. We will still win on Saturday.

Kouyate is class and could be playing at a higher level IMO - he is the best player in the West Ham team and is better than Payet for me (as good as Payet has been)

We sorely missed Alli or Dembele. Injuries aren't an excuse as they effect all teams but for us it showed massively

It was a poor performance from us and a confident one from you

I think you might have done us a massive favour tonight, we probably needed that little slap in the face, if we do go on and win the league it will partly be down to West Ham

it was raining, but that goal was a good one, wicked delivery met full on so maximum power there.

but i am somewhat annoyed that loris was beaten at the near post.

For the first hour tonight West Ham were the team thats played best against us all season.
No one else has stopped us playing like that. Usually we get the best of 50/50s and outwill and bully teams. Not against West Ham.
Even when we lost to Leicester they sat back and just survived somehow and hit us on the break.
Bilic was right to treat the Europa qualifying with distain at the start of the season.

We were gash, end of.

West Ham won the midfield battle and we had no answer for it at all. Eriksen worked hard and looked to be the only one in the first half who had some idea of how to get us going, but Kane, Lamela, Mason, Chadli and even Dier (who isn't responsible for making things tick going forward) weren't clicking. Thank fudge I don't know many Wham fans these days else things would be unbearable.

Nice to know you're all very gracious in defeat  A lot of conspiracy theories flying around on here tonight. You'll be telling me there's a a guy works down the chip shop swears he's Elvis next! As cup finals go, this was a very enjoyable one. :)

that wasn't fun to watch for us or for a neutral, Bilic played 5 at the back and on their tight sh!te pitch with the rain teeming down, it was hard for us to get a foothold metaphorically and physically, they stuck to their gameplay and won, you can't win every battle. But this wasn't 6 points dropped with there other results around us and even though its a quick turnaround for saturday, the goons have more questions against them than we do. Good thing is we'll never have to play there again and the spammers won't have nearly the same home field advantage at the Olympic stadium.
