*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Crystal Palace FC ***

Here's what I said.

"It's too rotten in too many areas, and I genuinely think if he were given a reprieve it would backfire."

To clarify this in binary terms for you. No.
Just out of curiosity.

What do you think the argument would be of someone (not you) who thought he should get a repreive. What would they point to as reasons for being optimistic that things would change?

Is this now a season post review discussion or are we sticking to how this started (about today's match)?
If I had given my tactical analysis you would still have said it's repetitive because I'd be saying the same brick I say every game. 🤣

Well because it's the same brick every game.

Saving players ?!? Jesus have a look at the league we are a laughing stock mate.
Our league position is exactly the reason we are saving our players, we've had nothing to play for in the league for months. We have a cup final with a CL spot at stake, it's not rocket science to work out why we played a shadow team today....

Fairly shambolic getting dingdonged at home by Palace. Thought we were dreadful.

I’ll hold my tongue there because everything clearly hinges on the final. The difference a win and a loss makes to Ange’s legacy here…I don’t remember anything like it in my lifetime. He either gets remembered as the guy who broke a 17 year trophy drought or dragged us to 17th in the table.

Either way, I think he only has 3 games left with us. All I want is one win.

It's all rather poetic. You seriously could not make it up. Can't wait for that bloody final and for us to hopefully smash them.

I had no expectation that we would win today (although of course I hoped we would as I wanted to send the players off from home with a great atmosphere). But I was disappointed with the lack of energy and seemingly lack of will to battle and win.
I won’t lose any sleep over it given what we have coming up but I hoped for more. I would have preferred the Villa game to be the lacklustre one.

Palace have a cup final too if I'm not mistaken. But they still take the league seriously.

As I said earlier in the thread, it’s taken years of gaslighting by those at the very top to make the fanbase (and the players) feel it’s acceptable that we rock up for games with excuses to lose.

Pay your £70, buy some pints and a pie, and take the loss on the chin. There’s a cup final to look forward to!

I don't think anyone likes our league form but it's a means to an end at the moment.
And it's been going on long enough to just park it.
It does make me wonder how things would be playing out if the league games had something hanging on them as well.

But we're on a promise of 90/120mins of football in a major final...so (luckily) that's all that really matters. (Of course, this could all be terrible preparation:))
Post that, Ange will be gone, I'm sure of that.
