***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v AFC Wimbledon ***

Our priority should remain the league. Finishing in the top four is far more important to the club's continued progress.
Our priority should remain being seen as bottlers that never win anything? The other top sides put out strong teams and so should we. This group of players won't last forever and I'd like to see some Silverware to complement the best Spurs side for many a year. And this is the FA Cup, it was our cup not so long ago.

Who said anything about bottling? I want us to win today and we should put out as strong a side is required to do that whilst also giving a rest to players that need it.

Looks like if you want to see the game you'll have to make the trip to Wembley and fill one of the many empty seats

It is now 10 years since we last won a trophy, the 2008 League Cup. We have never went more than 10 years without winning a trophy since 1951. We badly need to win a trophy this season or next if we don't want to become another big club like Saudi Sportswashing Machine who can only dream about winning a trophy. Remember, Saudi Sportswashing Machine have won 4 league titles and 6 FA Cups but have not won any trophy since 1955. It is time Pochettino take the Cups more seriously by playing our best available players. After all, we have never been convincing in any of the domestic Cups under Pochettino. This will be our first ever meeting with AFC Wimbledon. But our past matches against the old Wimbledon have always been tight, being a London derby. Let's hope we will do just enough to beat them and progress to the next stage of the FA Cup.

Since we don't have a league match until next Saturday, there is no reason why we should rest players for this match. Pochettino should be telling the players the importance of winning the FA Cup by playing all our best players. Kane can use this match to get back his goal scoring boot. Others like Son, Eriksen and Alli should also feel the magic of the FA Cup by playing in this match. Want Lamela to start in this match as well. After all, Lamela has not played much since returning from his long injury problems.

Our midfield still seems to be affected by injury problems and loss of form. Return of Wanyama is timely but he seemed rusty against West Ham. Dembele seems to be struggling for match fitness after his long injury problems. It looks like we have to rely on Dier and Sissoko again in midfield. Hope Pochettino will resist the lure of playing unknown youngsters in midfield which will unsettle our midfield.

Our options seems very limited in defence without the injured Alderweireld. Vertonghen and Sanchez needs to gel together more to make our defence tight again. Sanchez needs to avoid giving away freekicks and getting yellow cards. Lloris has not been at his best lately. So, won't mind if Vorm or Gazzaniga starts in goal instead. With due respect to AFC Wimbledon, it will be disappointing if we don't keep the clean sheet in this match.

We have lost to London teams in the FA Cup for the last 2 seasons, Palace in 2016 and Chelsea last season. So, we should treat AFC Wimbledon with due respect and avoid getting complacent. Let's hope we will turn up with the right team and mentality to beat them and progress to the Round 4 of the FA Cup.

Everybody dance now!

We were the most successful team in the FA Cup when we last won it in 1991. Since then, Arsenal and ManU have overtaken us. So, we badly need to go on to win it again this season. Not sure what we can expect from AFC Wimbledon as we have never played them before this. We need to get an early goal to help settle our nerves and then go for more goals to kill the game off. Let's hope we will put up a good performance and get a convincing win.

You're a tough b*****d!!! Vertonghen, Son, Eriksen and Alli played the full 90 mins on both Tues and Thurs....! Are you trying to get full value for money from the wages which we pay them?!?

Poch made some comments in the last day or two to the effect that those who played both games wouldnt play today, so thats those four plus Davies I think. Agree that we dont have a game for a week, but equally we dont want key players burned out or picking up injuries from playing when their bodies need a rest.

I think Wanyama should play for precisely the reason you say - getting rid of the rustiness. Ditto for Lamela. Whereas for Dier, we seem to flog the poor guy to death with him rarely getting a break. Really hope he can put his feet up today

Vorm
Trippier Foyth Vertonghen KWP
Wanyama Winks
Lamela Dembele Nkoudou
Llorente

Subs: Gazza, Sanchez, Dier, Dele, Kane, Eriksen, Son

The CL will be great experience and exposure. We are still new and learning how to play in it (as did Man U and Wenger's lot).

But top 4 and FA Cup win is perfectly achievable with this squad.

Winning (genuine winning, not "qualifying") creates a feel good factor and increased team spirit.
Sports teams and players are there to win.

Throwing the FA Cup to focus solely on 4th lacks ambition.
