O/T Manager Sack Watch

FA9 @Football_Agent9

Looks like Steve McLaren will be managing in England next season, more to come shortly.

Definitely not City, will it even be a PL club? Surely not Everton?

Man United, Chelsea, Emirates Marketing Project, Everton all set to have new managers next year.

Wenger a doubt with only one year left on his contract over the summer.

We could be the only top six club to have our manager next year.. Madness.

Jesus... I just read that as...

''...will be managing in England...''

It'll probably be Stoke though hey?

We should see that as an advantage, hopefully we don't have too much player churn to deal with.

If we had a CL spot as well, could be a good point to push on from.

Paris St Germain reject approach from Real Madrid for Carlo Ancelotti

Former AC Milan and Italy midfielder Gennaro Gattuso became the fifth coach this season to be sacked by FC Sion when he was dismissed following a 5-0 rout at St Gallen, the Swiss club said Monday.

Gattuso, a notoriously hard-tackling midfielder who joined the club as a player at the start of the season, had taken on the role of player-coach in February but managed only 10 points from 11 league games and suffered a cup elimination at the hands of FC Basel.

Sion said in a statement that he would be replaced by under-21 coach Michel Decastel, who will take over the senior side for the second time this season.

In addition, eight players were also demoted to the reserve squad and replaced by eight from the under-21 side.

Sion did not name the eight and it was not immediately clear whether Gattuso was among them.

Sebastien Fournier started the season in the hot seat and was replaced by Decastel in September. He was followed by Pierre-Andre Schuerman, Spaniard Victor Munoz and then Gattuso.

Despite the chaos, Sion are fifth in the 10-team Swiss Super League and could still qualify for the Europa League next season.

Eccentric club president Christian Constantin has employed around 30 coaches since taking over for a second stint in 2002. An architect and former goalkeeper, Constantin has appointed himself as coach on two occasions.

Last year, he led the club into a legal battle with European football's governing body UEFA after Sion were kicked out of the Europa League for fielding ineligible players.

Sion lost the battle, were docked 36 points in the league but escaped relegation because another club, Neuchatel Xamax, were expelled due to financial irregularities.

He likes Liverpool and kept his home there. I ready something about his wife settling down there and getting involved with the community in some way. It could be a strong draw back to the area and managing Everton won't make him seem worse to Liverpool supporters than managing Chelsea.

Besides it would be fun.

Fatty Interim has gone up a bit in my estimations. Think hes handled the Chelbrick fans hatred very well, got to the final of the EL, 3rd in the PL, he hasnt pandered to the likes of Terry and Lampard, rotated the squad sensibly. Pretty impressive actually and not the total implosion i expected when he walked thru their doors.

Abramovich gave him time. Could have quite easily have sacked him because of the fans hatred and results not going there way but he knew they'd look like even more of a joke club. Imagine if they had only given a certain AVB time.

Think he's done the bare minimum with that squad. Granted the stick he gets makes it tough, but his substitutions are still appalling!
