After that game against Barca i feel they deserve it.

3 German clubs group winners.

Mönchengladbach didn't make it through to the group stage, but have qualified for the next round in the EL. So have Leverkusen and Hannover as well, while Stuttgart need to win at home against Molde tomorrow.

I think it's more evidence that the premier league is living off past glories and is overhyped. Great to watch, but not the best league and hasn't been for a few years now, Bundesliga is quickly catching up.

FINALS SINCE 2005

2005 winners Liverpool
2006 losahs Arsenal
2007 losers Liverpool
2008 winners Man U losahs Chelsea
2009 losers Man U
2010 -
2011 losers Man U
2012 winners Chelsea

Spanish, Italian clubs have also had a significant contribution to finals over this time but not to the same extent as England. Two runners up for Germany (both Bayern). And bear in mind that when Barca and Inter won their titles they also were far and away the dominant team at home, but Chelsea and Liverpool won their titles when finishing only fifth in their leagues.

There have also been a very strong presence from English clubs right up to quarter finals in most years, and lets not forget our own fantastic contribution for a debut season. The failings of City, Chelski (and Man U last year) stand out because they are exceptionally bad, but to be fair City have had a particularly tough draw two years running.
