I don't think any of this Salah situation is to do with Jota.
I have a Liverpool supporting friend who from last spring when they were on their good run was very vocally anti Salah and thought it was the biggest act of stupidity (and actually betrayal) to give Salah an extension when they did.
He felt Salah was a snake for a long time before then, stretching back to how he felt he publicly disrespected Klopp when he was a sub coming on in a game against West Ham: Klopp was giving him a pat or hug to gee him up as he often did to his subs before coming on and Salah pushed Klopp away and Klopp was like wtaf and there was a mini argument for a moment on the touchline.
My friend thought he showed his poisonous colours then, and was cheesed off when it seemed like he was being 'rewarded' for such a poor attitude when a year later he got his contract extension. He felt at 32/33 it was perfect time to say thanks for the memories and wish him farewell. He certainly would much rather have tried to keep Trent.
My friend has seen Salah's downturn in performances and this outburst coming since then.
This same friend also thinks Slot is untrustworthy and weak and said it was telling that it took their ex-manger Klopp to come out and say 'come on, why are you doing this' publicly to the Liverpool fans when they were booing Trent near the end of last season whilst Slot gave him no public support at all, seemingly siding with the booing mob...
I think that moment when Trent was hung out to dry was probably when the seeds of the current malaise were sewn: you could see how some of his teammates like Szobozslai were quite annoyed and bewildered with the situation. That can lead to a slight 2-5% drop in intensity of effort and a feeling of 'why am in bothering to go the extra mile for these lot'...a bit like the delicate issue we have with our won players booing booed at home games, it can lead to not quite putting the energy in the most positive direction that the team needs...

Well my intent was to be a more middling voice on the back and forth, that backfired clearly
I think in the context of the individual post where I have not mentioned them and the subject there or before it would be taken as it is, considering i made it in part a personal example for myself. I will be clearer next time for everyone.
