I think he's a useful player to have and his speed and workrate will keep him in the England setup for a good few years, especially with Hodgson's current system. I don't think he is a natural finisher, which is his downfall. He can score some very good goals, but he doesn't sniff them out like top strikers do. Who knows, perhaps years of playing as a wide forward have stunted his development in that respect. Funny thing though, I actually think the system Hodgson uses needs one of Kane or Rooney partnered with one of Sturridge or Welbeck.
