Difficult game which was made even harder by the ref. He was a joke! How Watford ended the game with 12 men I don't know

Dier handball I need to see again. Stream only showed it twice.

Another two points dropped with chelsea and liverpool winning. Hopefully utd arse is a draw.

I will say this, though - Watford were brutalizing us all game, and I wish Sanchez actually f*cking decked the c*nt he was trying to hold off. None of this 'arm in the face trying to hold him off' nonsense - if you're gonna go, make sure the other c*nt leaves with a nosebleed he won't forget for a very long time.

All f*cking game. Kicks in the back of the leg, stamps on feet, elbows in backs. And when we give it to them in return - yellow, yellow, red, Atkinson being an irredeemable c*nt. If you're going to let it get rough, let *both* sides get rough, you f*cking bellend - don't let one off and penalize the other.

yep, we got shafted with decisions when they were kicking lumps out of our players. I have to see the sanchez decision again, but atkinson doesn't have our ability to call a vid in game for review - dang, who will go in the center of back three or partner verts in a back four ? Foyth ?? ummm, don't think so
 
Showed some fight and spirit and hopefully Atkinson’s awful performance and Watford’s brutal approach will galvanize the squad and we can kick on.

Given the sending off it’s definitely a gutsy performance. A late goal for us would’ve been massive. Top four is going to be really tough this year; Liverpool are scoring for fun now.

Won’t be drawn on lack of protection from refs for Kane. Says when he is asked that question it’s because of how Kane is being treated on the pitch.

Pleased w effort and performance and bravery, esp after going down to 10 men.

Whilst I dont disagree with the rest - hes spot on

"Still a young team and still learning" wont work much longer, I would say this is the last season he can use it
 
Regarding the sending off; their man was legging it up the wing and Sanchez took him out - it was obviously at least a yellow card as it was a great breakaway for them... then as his arm made contact with the face, right in front of their bench... clearly it was going to be a red card... I knew immediately it was a red, it was a silly challenge from Sanchez, he should not have done that. Stupid from us.

Regarding Dier's handball... about 5 of our players made stupid mistakes in 20 seconds, which led to that incident. Lamela tried to dribble 10 men, Vertonghen scuffed a clearance straight to Watford, it was an absolute shambles when we needed to keep calm and see the game out... yet just like at other times this season we handed them a GOLDEN chance to win the game. Stupid from us.

If Brighton are half as bad as that against us we will run riot.

Agreed on the youth bit. Some of our squad are now in the prime of their careers, some are even inching past that. Giggs, Scholes, Beckham et al were winning nearly everything when they were younger than some of our current crop.
 
Good performance, and in isolation a decent enough result. A point away to Watford isn't bad, doing so playing half an hour with ten men is solid.

Still frustrating meaning that it's no wins in four and the gap to fourth probably widens. And we looked dominant up until the red.

The red is fine imo. I don't think for a second Sanchez does that on purpose, but arm to face like that. He's responsible and the red is fair.

Here’s hoping, but we haven’t run riot against anyone in the league this year barring maybe Huddersfield, and Liverpool - and they were awful that day just as much as were clinical.
