*** Tottenham Hotspur vs Canning Town Caravan Club OMT ***

hard to say really. The religion thing may play a part in some quarters and amongst some of their older supporters but having met a few WH fans they mostly see Tottenham as arrogant and that we're somehow trying to punch above our weight. Also, on the field we've proven in recent times to be a soft touch and easily intimidated when something big is in sight. The chance to deny us glory is especially big amongst their fans since Lasagnegate and this feeling has grown and grown amongst their fans. Sometimes I think they'd rather beat us than any other club in London including Millwall. Still though I just see it as a minor London derby and nothing like getting one over the Woolwich and Chelsea.

This stereotype of Tottenham fans comes up frequently. I certainly am not. I see us as maybe the 5th/6th/7th biggest club in the country (not arrogant considering our trophy haul) and most fans who go to WHL have the same hope for the best but expect the worst attitude when it comes to Tottenham, so come on, who is letting the side down? Apart from Steff :) who thinks we will win every game 8-0, who thinks we are bigger than what I described?

Not as much as us in those areas that West Hams support traditionally comes from (East London and Essex etc)

9 times out of 10 if you meet someone from out that way they'll e a fan of either us or them.

I just find it odd that they see us as their big derby but this feeling isn't reciprocated by us, they must know this surely? Maybe that fuels their hatred even more as others have suggested.

don't let the Internet warp your perception, it's reciprocated by plenty of Spurs fans and is one of the liveliest home fixtures of the season.

Only the ones in Essex/East London from my experience tho, I hardly know any West Ham fans. It's always a good atmosphere but still far behind Arsenal and Chelsea.

Yeah it's 3rd in comparison to those two of course - but a genuine rivalry all the same. Probably not so much for supporters who don't have to interact with any of theirs but there's a sizeable chunk of our fanbase who do.

we're quite unique in that we have 3 other clubs who hate us more than any other - hard to keep up with it all really

Far too sensible view, I loved football and this club, now I only love the club and like all my loved ones it's fallible and my expectations are that they'll do their best, if they fail to be the best I'll still be here.

Yep, the Utd of the south tag holding true! We just need our 20 years of domination now, come on Poch!

Great. Just seen that yet again, there's no service to Northumberland Park this weekend. So a London derby and everyone is routed via Liverpool Street and WHL, rather than the option of Liverpool Street/Stratford and Northumberland Park. Same as last year - except then at least all the Spam fans had left long before the game ended. Let's hope it's the same again tomorrow.

Must win, this. We need to win again and score from open play and get some confidence back into our attacking game. A repeat from last season's 4-1, please!

We need to do really nasty things to them. Something that shuts them up, put them on a path to relegation and we can kick on from.

Its seriously ridiculous that this has happened on yet another big game

Will NR get away with closing one of the two main stations when we move to the new stadium, probably

Funny that it never happens at The Emirates though

Agree with that. I've lived in central and west London, Bristol and now near Cambridge and have rarely met a spammers fan

There are a lot up the A1 to M11 corridor

The have a solid fan club in Bedford and are decent lads until they drink and then they become nazi horrible twunts

Time to get back to the main event - what team to play!

With the injuries known (Alli, Lamela and Toby) my team would be:

..................................Lloris..........................................

Walker................Wimmer/Dier........Verts.....................Rose

.................Wanyama...............Dembele...........................

Sissoko.........................Eriksen..............................Son

.................................Harry.....................................

3-1. Back to winning ways.

Time for the Son to shine again and Sissoko to show us what Poch sees in him.

We are now winless in our last 7 matches, 4 of them in the league. So, we badly need to beat West Ham to get back to winning ways. But matches against West Ham are always not easy as they tend to lift their game against us. Remember they beat us away last season and that affected us badly in the title race. But we did beat them 4-1 at home last season. Let's hope we can use that win to inspire us in this match.

The return of Kane from injury will be a welcome boost to us. We have badly missed his goals during our winless run. But he did look rusty against Arsenal despite scoring the penalty. He did score 2 goals against West Ham at home last season. Let's hope he can get back his best form in this match. Just can't see where else we can get goals from. The likes of Son and Alli have been very poor in recent matches while Janssen just can't look like scoring his first goal from open play for us. We have not scored from open play for too long. So, any goal will be a welcome boost to us.

Our midfield did really well against Arsenal. We were helped greatly by the return of Dembele. We should continue to use Wanyama and Dembele in mifield. I think that is our best midfield partnership. As he shown against Arsenal, Dembele can be our key player if he is at his best. But we can really do with more goals from midfield. Apart from Alli dan Son, Eriksen really should be scoring more goals, especially from freekicks. Hope we can get atleast 1 goal from midfield in this match.

Wish we can have all our best defenders for this match. Too bad Alderweireld is still out injured as he scored against West Ham last season. Without him, our defence have looked shaky in recent matches. Wimmer scored the own goal against Arsenal. But I will still prefer Vertonghen and Wimmer starting in defence. Still not fully convinced of Dier in defence. Let's hope Lloris can lead our defence to keep the clean sheet in this match.

The draw against Arsenal was a good result for us. But we badly need to win after not winning in 7 matches. Hope we can get back to winning form by beating West Ham.

Any t=e=a=m n=e=w=s yet ?

Wish we can have all our best players back. We seem to have too many injury problems this season. I think we will miss the influence of Alderweireld and Lamela in this match, if they are still out injured. Performance is not really important when you badly need a win. So, hope we will do just enough to beat West Ham and get back our winning formula.
