Other teams will have a lot to say about where we finish this season.

Arsenal have won two games in six, against Saudi Sportswashing Machine and Bournemouth. In any normal season that's not title-winning form. They also haven't won in the last three.

City seem to be vulnerable to teams who want it more. They are unbeaten in the last six though. They can't rely on Aguero staying fit and Kompany not being available is a big loss for them.

I'm really up for the City game on February 14th. We've already beaten them 4-1 this season and if we can beat them again (and I'll take any ugly, dirty, lucky win) I'll really believe we can win the league.

We all know how important Kane is to us, and to be honest, if he gets injured there's no guarantee that any back up striker would hit the ground running. Here's what I said back in late December:

(I am not arguing that Kane is as good as Shearer or Suarez, just that having a reliable striker can make a hell of a difference)
I can't comment about Blackburn, but in the 5 games at the start that Suarez missed Pool and City we're tied on points. With Suarez it was also a one-man show (two, if you add Sturridge who is outstanding when fit). We have more of a team, so although a knock to Kane would affect us, it wouldn't to the extent a knock to Suarez would have affected Pool. And if that wasn't the case, then only a world class backup striker would be able to keep us in the same form.

When you're near the top of the league. Teams at the top get the majority of the decisions. Unless you are Chelsea of course, there is a conspiracy against them that goes all the way up to the Vatican.
Teams at the top get more penalties because they spend more time in their opponent's box.

I've got faith in the manager and the team and if they perform to their best I'm sure a top 4 spot is achievable, should injuries and loss of form occur we may not do it, but I do not see it as failure, the team has progressed this season and I believe if we continue to progress at that level trophies will follow.

To much sense it that for the moaners.

But Kane and Alli are scoring at a frequency similar to rat face and peg leg (my nicknames for them)

The key for me though is when Kane hasn't scored others have stepped up

We're also converting draws into wins now

And coming back from behind in a strong dominant way

This is a real team effort

So Saudi Sportswashing Machine spent 70+ million and we spent 0 (actually took in 12.5 million, to boot).

Everton - Saudi Sportswashing Machine: 3-0
Norwich - Spurs: 0-3

Money well not spent. :p

What do we think now?

I'm dreaming of first, but in my heart I think third will be our final position. Maybe I'm just too scared to fully commit.

I put money on us finishing champions, but think we'll finish 3rd if key players stay fresh. Despite shipping 3 players out with 0 incoming, we have a decent squad now. Son, Njie, Chadli, Wimmer all can play their part in the second half of the season. Just pray Kane stays fit and ferocious.

Forgot to ask you; how much did you put on and what odds did you get?
