***OMT Watford Vs Tottenham Hotspur***

I had to listen to the game on the radio, great result. 2nd in the league after 25 games and 5 points from the top, I'd have taken that at the start of the season!

Phew, That was something else.
I watch all Spurs games, albeit, on TV. I don't think I have seen a game where Spurs dominated to the extant
that we did today. We must have had 20+ shots on goal - only to score 1 !!!!
Gomes, the octopus Must be the MOM. He made some incredible saves.
Anyway, we won, a clean sheet and go to 2nd in the league.

Keep this up guys - COYS .

Without a doubt. On his day he's a fantastic goalkeeper. I think if he was to have come in to this present Spurs team his personality would've fit in very well with the current bunch and he would have had a much better time than he did at Spurs. Not saying I'd take him above Lloris what so ever but he can be brilliant at times and I always loved the sheer jubilation he'd have when we scored and the devotion he used to show.

Will never forget that NLD with Danny Roses goal. Bendtner scored with 10 mins left and the whole ground fell silent. Gomes turned to the Park Lane and gestured with his arms to get the noise level back up again, as we obliged through till the final whistle.

Very relieved that he conceded today though.

The OMT Gods' ways are inscrutable. Maybe we've misunderstood the scripture. There's a reformation coming!

It's the dreams I tell thee!

I had my littlun's birthday party today so couldn't watch the game. The good omen was, this time last year - I was inflating helium baloons whilst watching the NLD on my phone - Harry Kane double and a win...

Gutted not to get 2 though, placed a bet on it...

The stats you need to know
  • Spurs have had a league-high 72 shots in the first half of games in 2016 so far but they have scored with just four of those.
  • Kieran Trippier bagged his first Premier League goal in his 43rd appearance.
  • Dele Alli assisted Trippier's goal just 176 seconds after entering the field of play.
  • Alli has had a hand in 11 goals in his last 14 Premier League games for Spurs (six goals, five assists).
  • Spurs had 26 shots, their joint-most in a Premier League game this season - level with their tally against Sunderland at home in January.
  • The Hornets have failed to score in four of their last five Premier League games.
  • Watford have mustered just one shot on target in their two Premier League games against Spurs in 2015-16
That first stat is poor isn't it, 4 goals from 72 attempts.

Today they say we had 9 shots on target, 17 shots off target. I don't remember that many off target... quite a lot were blocked.

That last stat shows our domination, but I guess they are saying Ben Watson's corner that almost crossed the line, was not a shot on target!

Horrible drive back up the M6 in the rain, but on a day like today..who cares

Not done the ritual read of the OMT, thats next. Just had to post first and say how refreshing today was. At HT the Jumbotron showed the stats 12 shots to 1 and Corners 9-0. At that point you began to wonder, Spurs at home, the chance to go 2nd, we all know the script dont we. Domination and concede late goal.

But no, for me that first 10 minutes of the 2nd half we were brilliant to watch, just what was needed and the crowd responded and the atmosphere went up 2 notches. Clearly the injury to their player stopped our momentum for a while, how we did get awarded at least one penalty I will never know, then Pochettino made a great, early, sub and bang...almost instant impact, and throughlly deserved.

Cant even think where the 4mins added time came from, and it would have been daylight robbery had the got that late goal. Ref and his linesman need a good look at themselves too, poor display.

Finally, it was reported that Dele Alli was in the bench as he felt dizzy...I am not surprised he his we are in 2nd ffs. Might only be for a week , who knows, but for once we took our chance today and it feels great tonight. 2nd.....f#ckin lovin it. COYS

They can't claim to have been hard done by this time!

Although i agree that Leicester may struggle against teams that park the bus, we are 25 games in, so i hope these 'park the bus' teams show up soon.

I thought a draw against Emirates Marketing Project would be the best result for us today but maybe Leicester being out there is better as we are not on top and instead are the chasers.
