I hope Soldado keeps his place against Saudi Sportswashing Machine next weekend (so we can see how he fares against a team who play far more cagey against us and not one playing very attacking and leaving big gaps at the back)

I hope that if he does start he then scores a hat trick and proves me completely wrong, there is nothing I would rather be than proved wrong here (unlike a few others on here who I think would rather certain players/managers were poor just so they were proved right). I just fear he doesn't have the game/form to do it.

Overall thought he did play pretty well against Emirates Marketing Project but again we paid 30 m for him to bang in the goals and again he simply isn't doing the job. Ades lack of form shouldn't be part of the argument the bottom line is neither of them have been good enough. We are stuck with what we have until January but Kane looks the most likely (by some distance) of looking a goal threat and he should be playing imo

Exactly. That has been Levy's policy ever since taking over. Whenever a player has his best season, Levy always sells him : Modric, Berbatov, Keane, Bale etc

I don't get this logic? Why should what we pay for a player factor into who is on the team sheet? Kane shouldn't be played because he has risen through the youth ranks?

Agreed 100% Players need to be picked on merit and not price tag. If Soldado plays well and carries out his manager's instructions on the pitch then he deserves to play, if he doesn't then he deserves to be dropped.

Would love to see this, as both are intelligent forwards with good technique. However I cant see Poch changing system to two up front unless we are chasing a game.

Maybe Kane as one of the supporting 3? But who would be dropped? Can't see Poch dropping Lamela and Chadli doesnt deserve to be dropped....

id like a front two of Soldado and Kane tbh, with Kane being the one that drops in behind.......I just dont think Soldado has been given a proper chance since AVB left. I dont understand spending so much on a player and then not backing him. We are not going to qualify for the CL as its appears to be a transitional season. In such a season, id rather give Soldado all the time to prove himself rather than Ade. Thats all.

I thought that we looked good in attack on Saturday and the front four appeared to have a good understanding. If that continues the goals will come.

Yep totally agree, esp about Kane, playing as sub to Soldado and/or Ade he can learn a lot and get match time.
