Do you think he should be our manager though?
What did the last sentence of my post suggest to you? I think it was very clear.
Do you think he should be our manager though?
I don't think you can really take too much away from today with the side we put out tbh, but I've said for a while Glasner would be my pick from all those mentioned. Think he's transitioned to the PL well, and of course has shown he can do it in Europe too....On a more positive note
Thought Glasner scored well in his interview. Good use of the star method and answered the strength questions well.
I keep asking you the question but you don't seem to want to answer. It's not even a difficult question. You're so wrong, but if that is what you genuinely think, then run with it. I have explained my viewpoints. You either want to see them or not.
Oh for me the answer could have been different. I said a couple of months ago that for Ange to keep his job for me he doesn't even need to win the EL. I just needed to see a willingness to prepare for the opposition and adjust his tactical approach dependent on the teams we are playing. He has kind of done that in the 1/4 and the 1/2 but he's demonstrated no consistent willingness to adjust in other games. See I don't believe we need our 1st XI to play well because even with that XI we've seen the same shambles, it just doesn't really matter what lineup he plays. If anything today was a day when you are playing the 2nd choice backline to manage their positioning better but instead he doesn't.The answer is not going to be any different currently. I am not sure what you expected today.
It you want to debate whether such a lack of expectation is acceptable, I'm there (it really isn't if we're being honest). But however much it hurts, I have to acknowledge it as a current truth. Still, not long left now...
I've had loads of discussions about the tactical setup, maybe you've missed them?Again you are missing the point.
Simply repeating things are abysmal and Ange is brick is not ANY discussion.
So yes, I like to see discussions. Negative/positive, whatever.
It didn't suggest your personal opinion one way or another to me which is why I'm asking. What did the last sentence of my post suggest to you? I think it was very clear.
I’d be more worried if I were a Man U fan. Ange has been on borrowed time for half the season and our players have probably switched off to him to a certain extent but they’ve actually changed manager - to someone who was regarded as up and coming - and they look worse than before if anything. Makes me think our own recovery won’t be so simple.Funny thought - how hilarious would it be if neither us or Utd reached 40 points?!
<40 pts and EL finalists!
Correct.
Hindsight tells me I wish I'd kept quiet, but damn me, I cannot help myself, when I see the same waves come rolling...
I have a long history of these sorts of interactions in match threads, which is why I generally avoid them. I need to be more self-disciplined in that regard.

Is this now a season post review discussion or are we sticking to how this started (about today's match)?I've had loads of discussions about the tactical setup, maybe you've missed them?
No need to keep quiet, forums would be pretty boring if people can't vent.
I think the problem is the extremes we have, the glass half full (people like you) and glass half empty (I'll admit that's me).
I'm actually quite jealous of people like yourself that can look for/find positives in the worst of situations.
Would be handy if these final league games were against teams fighting Arsenal for the league...we could lose on purpose with no shame.
Solely because losing on purpose and not on purpose would be indistinguishable.![]()
Awful. Toxic right through the club. Disgrace
It didn't suggest your personal opinion one way or another to me which is why I'm asking.
Do you think he should stay?
I'm not idealogically locked to any one system (other than a general dislike of 3 at the back) so it's not so much him not doing what I want or perceive to be right. It's that what he is doing isn't working and he is unwilling or unable to change things positively. It's not a binary comparison.
I will say this. ANY match observations should
contain some context and detail IMO whether positive or negative. When they don't, I will absolutely find pointless repetitive positivity easier to read than pointless repetitive negativity. In each instance I prefer some points/observations.
He's adjusted as much as he will, but what YOU want from him he made clear he has little or no interest in doing as early as last season. The issue I have with what you're doing is that you repeatedly want him to do something YOU want which he clearly won't do. So WHEN do you accept that? I'd have gone 4-2-3-1 or even 4-4-2 on occasions this season to allow young players an easy buy in, but he said from the out he would not change so I decided to save myself the angst!
