*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Crystal Palace FC ***

Haha, sorry to break it, but you are in denial.
You absolutely DO watch through a prism of your own emotion, and further, you cast judgements which don't match up.
EVERYONE sees it has been very poor. EVERYONE sees today was another poor league performance.
Not EVERYONE sees the need to repeat the same old criticisms.
Ray Charles could see where our issues currently lie, the club know, come summer action will be taken, and we can all breathe a sigh of relief and move on.
Again you only want repeated observation when they are positive? Are we not allowed to repeat our observations if they are negative?

Further to that then, do you believe his position can be salvaged. Cause the two points for me are reasons I don't think he should be manager next season.

Ignore the other part of our discussion mate. It's not important, we're here to discuss football.

I have CONSISTENTLY said for many weeks now that I feel his time with us is over. Even if he wins on the 21st I believe he will not be our manager going forward. It's too rotten in too many areas, and I genuinely think if he were given a reprieve it would backfire.

What also grates is that people are here planning holiday, how much it's going to cost, how long it'll take to walk to Bilbao....

Then you see that brick, the same brick as all season and you just think what is the point

You're so wrong, but if that is what you genuinely think, then run with it. I have explained my viewpoints. You either want to see them or not.

So if I have this right, you are again repeating yourself in your displeasure about other posters repeating themselves about their displeasure? (Which you are entirely entitled to do obviously).

I didn't say you were a happy clapper and I even used the conditional "may" to indicate that might not be your stance.

All those things you mentioned are true but they are all choices and therefore not excuses for ropey play. If you make that number of changes and your tactics rely upon the specific physical attributes of a particular player and you don't have that player available am I supposed to positively accept the results? Your tactical setup doesn't work, you know it doesn't work, we know it doesn't work and the opposition know it doesn't work. Our manager being unable to adjust is context but doesn't make the answer any different.

The answer is not going to be any different currently. I am not sure what you expected today.
It you want to debate whether such a lack of expectation is acceptable, I'm there (it really isn't if we're being honest). But however much it hurts, I have to acknowledge it as a current truth. Still, not long left now...

Why did it need addressing?
Because you keep complaining about repetitive negative takes yet I'd love to know if you would complain about repetitive positive takes? If not your stance is not one of principle but instead one of trying to frame the discussion into a shape you prefer.

I'm negative about this season as a whole and I was very early in pointing out flaws as you no doubt know but I have no issue with the repetitive positive comments people have made about reaching the final or the repetitive positive comments about say Bergvall. When something is a pattern I'd expect people to make comments that relate to that pattern. If that pattern doesn't change, well I'd expect to see similar comments. For me equal amounts of positivity and negativity are allowed. I don't see either side of the continuum as being worth more than the other.

Correct.
Hindsight tells me I wish I'd kept quiet, but damn me, I cannot help myself, when I see the same waves come rolling...

I have a long history of these sorts of interactions in match threads, which is why I generally avoid them. I need to be more self-disciplined in that regard.

why should ange keep his job if we win the europa league? with out the CL dropouts it really has become a mickey mouse league
imagine this level of tactics and performance at next year's champions league games!

Again you are missing the point.
Simply repeating things are abysmal and Ange is brick is not ANY discussion.
So yes, I like to see discussions. Negative/positive, whatever.

Na you are alright mate, its a comments thread, its all open for discussion, we as fans are not infallible to criticism as the same way we think the team isn't. Everyone makes their points strongly without being offensive so all is fair in Love and Spurs.

Your posts are one of the last half dozen I really come on here for to read with reason, otherwise I would have quit this place (again) along time ago haha

Today I find myself agreeing with you in the context of the week and whats to come despite having seen this all season AND although this trend continues on from the league form the cup final does change everything for us. BUT Ange must win it now, he has to

You do you Steff. You're a more half glass full kinda guy and inevitably will clash with those who are not:D Both sides are usually fair, it's all good....
