*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Luton Town FC ***

Just a shame Warrington could not do the same v London ah well I would rather spurs win thsn the wire if were choosing

Bissouma upping it mate a big difference. You can't have your #6 and your #10 both offering nothing in the game.

Causing our own problems trying to build attacks from our two centre backs and goalkeeper. Have to get the ball into the midfield to have a base to build from. Sarr is the runner, he was doing his job. The other two not so much.

Second half he started picking it up and turning to progress the play instead of passing it backwards. Even him just taking it from Vic allowed the centre backs to go much wider, stretch them and therefore create space. He simply has to work harder to get the ball off the defenders and then turn and play.

I'd swop him for Romero tbh, that stopping the ball, pointing and then passing back to the keeper is really doing my head in.
Don't know where that has come from with Romero, remember when would make runs up the park like dragusin did?

It’s to try and tempt the opposition striker out and break their shape. Can be annoying to watch but he’s not doing it just because he can’t decide who to pass to.

Sarr is like a one man press, rarely win the ball high when he's not there.

Our press isn't co-ordinated enough. Its not coordinated pressing, all pressing together, and being aware of where the pass might go. We employ a 'reactive' press, rather than proactive. Maybe it saves some energy.

Don't think any of those chances were that easy, but he still turns up to have the chances, much like Johnson he doesn't stop making the runs

Absolutely, it's not like he's missing chances with high xG. Getting in the positions is what matters.

Our approach play is actually pretty good most of the time, its lack of movement to hit the spaces when the ball arrives that hurts us, should hopefully get better with Richi available, we need that presence of a proper 9.

Their time wasting gets them 9 mins to rescue a point, never understand that

Spot on, It would be hard to police, but when a team has been timewasting and go behind before the board goes up they should not get the benefit of the added time to rescue the game, if anything the minutes they were adding on should then be taken away.

And credit where it's due, I thought Luton played well, didn't kick, cheat or play act (well not too much on the last one) or resort to some of the crap we have seen from other opponents.
Their first goal reminded me of Bolton in Allardyce's days. Their player held back Porro. That is cheating in my book.

very similar to the Palace game. Well worthy of the win, really should have been more.

Have to stop giving that first goal away though.

You wasted the time, why should you get it back?
Players get booked for wasting time.

Problem is, though, if it had hit 90 minutes and it was still 1-1 we’d have been delighted to see 9 minutes come up.

Didn't get to see the game. 1000 restaurants here, no sports bar.

Watched the highlights. We seemed alright.
