***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs West Ham United OMT***

That was poor. That said I thought we had pretty good control of the game until they got the luckiest double rebound since the late 1950s before the equalizer. After that we crumbled, though, which is worrying.

We can live with poor results, but if the players get nervous and start to doubt the system, we're in bigger trouble. Hence why getting that win again is so important.

Is that the first side we have come up against under Ange that properly park the bus?

Would be interested to know if we have properly prepared and trained yet for facing such a tactic as we looked totally clueless in the final third. I cannot believe the tactic was to cut in at every opportunity and try and go through the middle yet that is what we did time and again.

Very strange because normally we are in part all about going wide and crossing and that should be even more the case against a low block.

The few times we did it with Porro for example we nearly scored or forced an error on west ham’s part.

A really weird performance from us.
It was the same v Liverpool after they went down to ten, far too narrow.

I did say during the match that just throwing crosses in isn't going work. It's a very old school idea and we don't have the forward players to take advantage of that kind of playback evidenced in the latter half of the 2nd half when that's all we did.

What we actually need are a better standard of wing forward. None of the ones we start seem able to do all three of these things beating a man, playing the final ball or fashioning chances for themselves. A top WF does this and we have to be honest we don't have a top quality WF and it's where our attack falls down, add to that without Maddison and Sarr we lack attacking thrust and passing incision.

I don't want to say it's fine but honestly it's the first season and it's going to take time to bud the kind of squad necessary to play the way Ange needs them to play.
Yeah this season is a freebie for sure especially with how we were doing when most of the squad were fit.

Also lets not forget arteta finished 8th twice with the goons.

Players have no one to blame but themselves! fudging gifted the win to the fudging spammers!
They need to learn to pull the fudging trigger or whip the ball into the box!
We can't try to pass our way into the goal every time!
I'm furious!
We've totally outplayed both Villa and Wet spam, but have gifted the win to both. It's pathetic.

Ffs it's tough at the moment.. It's not like we are not creating chances. But snatch at them they do. Tame shots, bad crosses, terrible terrible wide play. Not taking chances.

Johnson was always involved but the quality not showing. Kulu, it's constant. He is so so predictable.. Son not getting the inter play he likes with Madison etc.

Sad.

Really can't see how you can defend Johnson but moan for 60 mins about kulu.
The front three were poor today, including son.
It happens, some people on here need some perspective, we're three points behind the best team in Europe.

Manager made the wrong sub in bringing off Hojbjerg instead of Bissouma IMO. Hojbjerg was having a bigger impact on the game than Biss.

We conceded two poor goals but didn’t create enough ourselves today. I thought West Ham’s centre backs played very well. For us Romero and and Hojbjerg were our best players, not much of note from anyone else.

Porro was good I thought

And also only 3 points ahead of West Ham….

To be fair though I expected this season to be transitional for us anyway

Not good enough. Fuming leaving the ground. They’re muck and we should have been out of sight at half time but second half, we’ve been out thought by David Moyes. They just sat in and cut off the space for us to play in and we had no answer. Some of the subs were head scratchers too.

Beyond annoyed at that.

Curse of Amazon prime strikes again, not sure we've even got a point when they stream our games.
