*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United ***

This, it was a gamble and backing the manager.

I'm sure we will figure out a way for him to move on in summer, he can still do a job in a slower league.

I think he's already been linked with a return to Italy, problem is the sides in Italy tend to only do loans and then never end up taking up the option to make permanent.

Saying that, with the Italian sides going deep into the CL this year maybe they'll have a bit more money to throw around

He'll only have a year left on his contract, so a loan would in effect be permanent.

I'm not sure anyone in Italy would afford his wages though. I think we might end up doing an Aurier/Doherty again.

Perfect Danjuma
Someone who can run

I'd like Danjuma to stay as a squad member and see what he can do. He's been wasted so far under Conte/Stellini.

*Unless the new manager is happy to use the squad place to bring in someone he prefers anyway

Right now, we need some pace in the team to be able to push teams back and give some pressure relief to our backline. To me it will be criminal if Richarlison and Danjuma still don't get more than 30 minutes vs Man Utd or Liverpool.

We also need to use our midfield to not give Casemiro, Fernandes or Eriksen time on the ball. However, they do have potent pace weapons in attack that i'm struggling to see how we nullify...urghhh

Not sure what we can do to change that, aside from play someone like Devine in order to bring in some creativity from midfield. Without Bentancur, we dont have that type of midfielder

Devine is a good prospect but it's a big ask to come in to PL in a team lacking confidence and struggling, I think it's been a difficult season for him personally as the U21 team has been poor and not helped his development.

I'm not sure if we can afford to be spending close to £30m (which is his option price) on that position with our likely scarce funds and serious need of new first team starting options at keeper, centre back and creative midfielder.

They're two different types of players. PEH is at his best when pushed forward and can chase players and close down. He is not a defensive midfielder, he hasn't got the instincts for it, is not disciplined enough, and loses concentration letting players run off him into the box. Skipp is better in those areas.
And still is Hojbjerg beating Skipp on all defensive stats.. yea Skipp is great

More than Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham and the People's Champions Poocastle ??
Would love to know why you hate them so much

The family moved up to Manchester when i was 13 and at that time they were not many City fans around and i had Utd hammered down my throat by my school mates. I have nephews who are red through and through and had them hammering Utd at me as well. I was also on the books of City as a youngster so there was always that rivarly in the air.

Utd are a big club and always will be and it was not long after the Munich disaster so they had a massive sympathy vote going on. You could not move without being surrounded by them everywhere.

It's a good point, both Son and Kane had great seasons last season in 3-4-3...but I think teams wised up to us though, and as such it has been far, far tougher this.
My guess is that this was because the system wasn't as rigid (Conte didn't have time to drill them to death on his stupid tactics) which allowed a certain degree of freedom and playing instinctively. I wouldn't be surprised if that was also the reason we were better defensively too.

Can we hope they might just be a bit sluggish? Two hard games in the last week. Tough at Sevilla where they got mauled. Also 120 plus minutes in a final on Sunday against an up for it Brighton. Hope it is their game after the Lord Mayors show.

We can but hope as on paper they blow us away. Need to start strong - the exact opposite from at Newcastke. Can we do it? Yes we can !!!

PS Come on Emirates Marketing Project !!!
