*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Bournemouth ***

Okay, just back from the game and have not ready through the OMT, so I am unsure whether my post will be popular or not.

I have to say I was ashamed by some sections of our home crowd today. The defeat I can live with, Christ I am used to it over the last 50+ years, what I cannot agree with was the booing of our one of our own players as happened this afternoon.
Yes, it was not a good day for him, but ffs, a few so-called fans behind even sarcastically cheered because he completed a pass, the bloke had only been on the pitch about 30 seconds at the time.
The constant booing of him every time he touched the ball at 1-2 was, in my eyes, a disgrace. I am sure it wont make him play any better, the opposite. And the loud cheer when he was substitued...disgusting.

I admit he made mistakes, but we lost that game as a team, he did not fail to convert good chances at 1-0 in the first half, (those players were not booed). And he did not miss decent headed opportunities at 1-2 and 2-2.

Rant over....but fear the worst for next Sunday against a very wounded animal

You weren’t there, I was. He was booed before he even touched the ball. It was extreme enough that it caused a wider reaction from other fans and was detrimental in every way to the players and those of us that aren’t clamy enough to boo or encourage it of one of our own. It’s not normal behaviour when the player has done nothing wrong other than not be good enough. For people unable to grasp that shows a level of entitlement and idiocy that is hard to fathom.

Well the whole club is in disarray and the fans are also in an environment where alcohol is freely available.

As I said I wouldn’t do it and I’m sorry if it upsets you but I wont run to condemn and get triggered by what these fans were doing.

It is not the crime of the century, that is my opinion which I am entitled to whether you like it or not :)

You’re entitled to your opinion as much as myself and other actual fans of our club are entitled to call it out for the utter nonsense that it is. Do you go to many games out of interest?

Same fans who cried every time Leicester signed a player saying, "Why can't we be like them?" only for those players to take their club down by looks of it, same fans crying that Chelseas new owner is doing it right only to be over 10 points below us? I mean yeh they may come good and I'm not saying we are setting any great examples of how to construct a season but frankly, our fans always over egg the omelette when it comes to panic stations and crying about a season and they are only getting worse for it IMO.

Frankly I don't have anytime for the contrary, two-faced boo boys that seem to have risen up at the club.

Yep you are also entitled to your opinion and I respect it even though we disagree. I also dont agree with widespread targeted booing from the moment he came on until he went off. If that happened then it shouldn’t have in my view.

I don't agree with booing individual players unless they've genuinely disrespected the club like when Ghaly had his strop. I have bood the team before when the performance has been dire or there's a total lack of effort.

Club is an absolute shambles at the moment - Stellini is just playing the same way as Conte. Players probably don't even bother listening to him.

Well, like others, bricky day at the stadium

- The Sanchez brick enough has been said about, my only point is "fudge all of you who think the problem with the atmosphere at the stadium is the tourists/koreans/premium seats", it wasn't the tourists boo'ing Sanchez or jeering every misplaced pass when it was obvious the team was actually fudging trying

Re the game

- If Lenglet didn't get injured, we would have walked the game, says nothing we don't know about our CB depth, also I'd take him for £14M if that's really the price
- Son looked better, Son and Kane were finding each other, Kane probably on any other day converts one of his chances
- Poor game by Dier, Sanchez & Porro, Porro being the one that's still adapting and worth giving time.
- Danjuma & Richi bring an energy/fight to the team

To my point a week back, miserable fudges in our fanbase, the side lost going for the win, swapping to 4 at the back, putting on all our attackers, got back level, then tried to win, yes got sucker punched and lost but isn't this what people wanted?

I was at the game, don't agree

- We pressed from early, tempo was better
- Son actually looked more like a player
- We swapped to 4 at the back
- Son, Kane, Danjuma, Richi, Deki all on the pitch at the same time
- Player were absolutely going for it at the end

None of those things are like Conte or a sign of the players not listening to him

Romero was awful too

Ahh ok fair enough I was just listening to the Talksport phone in on the way home and ever caller said it was the same old brick as before. The above sounds a lot better, confidence is so low that there's probably not much else that can be done until next season now.

I wouldn’t do it but I understand why others would. I also do not feel the effect of the booing is as extreme as you suggest, especially as it seemed to be fairly mild booing whilst he was on the pitch.

It was not like the whole stadium went absolutely mental at him when he was on the pitch. The level was about right to let him know and hopefully give him a kick up the ass.

Poor bloke should have been sold seasons ago. Simply not good enough, like quite a few others. Only one place where the blame ultimately lies.

He doesn’t or didn’t want to leave
He is on a decent whack here and he isn’t getting that at a club that would sign him
He also has a young family here

First half until we conceded was quite decent.

We pressed, we were quicker, Son was running at people, PEH/Skipp covered well, there was even a couple of instances where a defender got dragged out and another did smart covering.

Lenglet goes off, Sanchez makes a mistake in 3 minutes, crowd gets on his back, game is struggle from then on in.

But make no mistake, we lost trying to win, Danjuma and Richi were throwing themselves at everything.

Not a great game, but really feel the injury is what was between this and a 2 or 3-0 walk in the park home game.

I respect your opinion but I do believe he should be ashamed that he has gone from partnering De Ligt in a Europa League final, to then spending the next 5-6 years at a top PL club with amazing facilities etc yet during that time he has not only failed to improve himself, he has amazingly done the opposite and to a staggering degree.

It really is laughable and beyond belief. And it sums up what a pathetic club we are that we still employ him!

It’s looking like De Ligt was massively overhyped.

We lost a 2 goal lead against Southampton.

We only beat Brighton due to terrible officiating.

We have lost at home to Bournemouth.

There is no way it can be spun as anything but awful.

I will give Stellini some credit for us having 5 attackers on the pitch at the end and 'going for it. At 2-2 I am happy to see us go for the win and not settle for a point, but you do run the risk of being caught on the break.

As somebody has rightly said, fine margins. At the end of the day IF Richarlison buries that header for 3-2 in stoppage time it's a whole different feel around the club...alas he didn't and there is not...
