ENIC

Completely agree, but Levy has taken us to another level.

Of course i agree, i have no real problem with Levy at all and we have come a long way since he took over. As for those who think he has not done enough well they are entitled to their opinion but if they can only get a few protesters ( like today) to try and show that the majority want him gone shows its the idiots on T w AAter mostly and will not get them anywere.

It’s not even a cheat code. Staying the right side of the FFP line isn’t cheating. I just would’ve loved our club to have got somewhere close to it instead of being the club who were the furthest away from it in the whole league.
Well it’s how fans see it
I’ve said it constantly
Enic don’t have more money to put in. Their asset is the club and that’s their income
They need a cash injection from elsewhere or to sell the club to richer owners

So you at least agree that it isn’t ‘cheating’.

Shareholder capital investments are a bona-fide way to increase the size and valuation of any business. If and when an owner stops investing then expenditure can be adjusted down accordingly (or perhaps no need if revenues have been increased). FFP rules help stop clubs being in massive trouble.
That I agree with
The club can make with a decent season £150m profit I think
With player trading probably another £50m
Owner investment of £100m for a few seasons will elevate the team and arguably grow commercial revenue to balance that injection
It’s what city do except we know they make up their commercial revenues and attendances.

you get a London based doped club with a fan base like ours and you can create a mega team

Or fans can buy into the process that given we are two full seasons into the new stadium revenue wise that the spend will increase and thus increase our chances. But that method takes patience granted. Interestingly Chelsea, financially doped and all have not finished in the top 2 since winning the league, Liverpool have challenged every year bar this, spending 100-150m per window (equivalent of our last) and Arsenal look set to win the league this year with a similar investment than us over the last couple of windows. So the ideas that the only way to compete is to financially dope is not the full story TBH, as much credibility in decent and targeted spending than there is scatter gunning.

Luck plays a big part IMO
Arsenal are deservedly top after having ; years under the same coach. but they have also had no injuries of note until recently and even had players cry off internationals.
Add in the lack of real European football and players not at the World Cup and that’s why they are top with a strong first 11
Then factor in city’s lack of motivation now…
all the CL sides are playing below par this season and all have suffered more injuries than other teams.
City will win the league next season. Hell they may win it this season too. Money talks and the ability get rid of players is what always works in their favour
very soon the top 4 will be teams who cook their books to make money to buy players to win games IMO

Manu won the league how many times?and the Treble..they then miss out a couple of years and their fans go ballistic....we won the League in 1961 and only a few fans care..now that's what I call passionate...surely a few protesters who want the club to get a grip on things is not so bad.We know all the arguments about how well the club has done compared to yesteryear..but we have still won f all.Maybe wer,e just not a big enough club though to win a trophy with just a handful of fans! A.

Luck = football, injuries, suspensions etc and all those things are part of the game there are so many variables in the game which means money is not the only factor, also when you compare City and Arsenal, their injury records stack up against each other and TBH, Arsenal are motoring towards the title with Nketiah as their striker....

People have been saying for years that financially doped clubs would rule the game from top to bottom and yeh, City have won the league title regularly but as I say those breaking the monopoly or pushing recently have not been those clubs. United, Chelsea have underachieved versus their spend for more than one year and even with the CL being a factor for some, with the spend and depth it really should not be an issue.

Consistency in decisions and culture is more important than money long term, Arsenal stuck to theirs despite ridicule (including from us as fans) and Liverpool stuck to theirs to success and its only since they have gone bigger to replicate that have their stumbled IMO. Even for all the talk of Saudi Sportswashing Machine being doped they are literally midtable in terms of player expenditure this year and last, but they have targeted and have a manager who knows what he wants, you have that you have alot of pieces needed IMO

Im not saying money does not matter, it does, but its far from the only factor that people make it out to be

There were about 40 protesters today.
IF we have 400,000 Spurs fans in the country, that is 0.01% of our fans who think this is worth protesting about.

In any group of people there will be 0.01% with a marginal view and loud voices.

City have had loads of injuries but also have a crazy deep squad
Arsenal haven’t but Eddie has come in and done a brilliant job because it’s a settled team and a set way of playing.
I also think their January business of buying depth is going to help them more than a Mudryk
Arsenal were gonna sack arteta but couldn’t find another manger. They did a load of “meetings” with managers about 18 months ago at a London venue that we look after at work

pool stuck with it too because they were so far behind they had too (9 years behind us in the previous 10)

I guess it comes down to what is classed as an achievement. I’ve heard loads about what How has achieved at Saudi Sportswashing Machine and IMO be hasnt achieved anything yet. The club will though as they will throw money at it

I think Levy is being especially tight in this window because the outsider investment is imminent.

We have money and have identified targets we badly need but are putting in pathetic offers tinkling off the selling club and delaying these players arrival. It is completely unacceptable that in this window we have made 0 signings despite us having numerous deficiencies in the squad.

Yes I can be accused of being an entitled child and that is how I will be from now on as we must all demand more to elevate this club from the slumber it has been in since the 60s.

I must have missed the window closing...

So you at least agree that it isn’t ‘cheating’.

I've never mentioned "cheating". But both city and chelsea have been punished for breaking ffp rules.

But for me it's not about ffp, it's about protecting clubs. Owners will come in and want to be successful (even enic). But it's easily to get carried away. Gamble on success. Chasing the dream of the premier/champions league. Most fail.
If the club is lucky, another person will come in and buy them. With the same dream. This time they'll get it right. Cause they think they're smarter than the previous owner or have more money. If the club isn't lucky then it's in trouble.
Fans just want to win, it's not their money and they don't factor in the cost of failure. So they'll call for spending.

Tbh the economy isn't much different. It's why we keep having recessions.

The difference is to the group buying into Spurs £5m to them is like 50 pence to you and me.

I think we'll add a couple this window and two additions in a January is an excellent window usually. One signing is a good window. Jan is difficult, but I expect we'll do some business

If it's cause someone is buying us, shouldn't you be happy?

I don't care who owns us, or how much money they have. Just want it to be fair. That includes champions league which has destroyed football in most european countries. If it was up to me half the money would go to the federations to be split amongst clubs. Then you might not have byern or olympiakos winning leagues for a decade.

Thinking about it, this is why we get so angry/depressed/sad. Cause we get close. We can almost taste it, but fail. The hope kills.

Imagine all the fans of clubs that don't have a chance of winning.
