Willian

Most likely, we want to have Willian & Lamela ready, so we sell bale and sign those two minutes/hours later.

Always more likely than signing them and putting ourselves in a very dangerous position with Real/Financially.

At weekend I was dead against this. Why do we need another midfielder? Now it may go ***'s up I want him in! Just another Tottenham window then

and the source of any potential agent shenanigans ................

Willian is closing on a move to Tottenham Hotspur, finally fulfilling his dream to playing in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to announce the signing of Willian before the end of the week, the latest signing in an impressive spending spree by the club.

In doing so, Spurs will also be launching a relationship with one of the most notorious agents in English football, Kia Joorabchian.

Joorabchian was the man behind Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano's controversial transfer to West Ham United, when they were actually owned by third party owners MSI.

He helped convince Tevez to join Emirates Marketing Project, where his client Mark Hughes was manager at the time.

Joorabchian denied in May that he was in part responsible for Hughes' failure at QPR, after fingers had been pointed at his assistance in closing several deals, but he claimed it was in fact just one - Julio Cesar.

Last night Tottenham transfer target Willian thanked 'the best agents in the world', posting a photo of himself next to Kia Joorabchian, with his dream of playing in the Premier League soon to be realised.

It would appear one of the richest agents in football is about to get... even richer

odious runt, and im surprised Levy is dealing with one of Abramovich's close allies

ffs, SSN saying another club has come in for Willian and that the move could now be scuppered.

Sky in 'making stuff up to keep people watching' shocker.

Sky Sports Football @SkyFootball

Willian has passed his medical at Tottenham and talks are continuing over a five-year deal, according to Sky sources.

Willian has announced he expects to complete his £30million move to Tottenham today after agreeing to sign a five-year contract.

Spurs have already struck a deal with Russian club Anzhi to make the Brazil international their third club record signing of the summer.

Willian has passed his medical and will then put pen to paper to finalise a contract which will keep him at White Hart Lane until 2018.

The news was broken on the Sky Sports News ticker but quickly disappeared although it is believed to be accurate.

An official club statement is not expected until Friday, however, when Spurs return from Georgia where they are playing Dinamo Tiblisi in the Europa League.

The 25-year-old former Shakhtar Donetsk star is the latest big name to join Tottenham this summer and his arrival eclipses the previous club record of £25.8m paid to Valencia for striker Roberto Soldado.

That, in turn, shattered the previous record sum splashed out when Paulinho, another Brazil international, was signed from Corinthians for £17m last month.

Spurs have also signed Belgium international winger Nacer Chadli from Dutch club FC Twente and France midfielder Etienne Capoue from Toulouse.

Willian is likely to feature as a substitute in Tottenham’s first Premier League home game of the season at home to Swansea on Sunday and could start for the first time in the north London derby against Arsenal at the Emirates next weekend.

Spurs are closing in on Roma forward Erik Lamela, who is poised to sign a six-year deal when a £31m transfer is finalised, and Steau Bucharest centre-half Vlad Chiriches who will cost around £6m.

Willian’s arrival takes Tottenham’s spending this summer to £88.8m which is a few thousand pounds more than Emirates Marketing Project have splashed out.

tbh if Willian's agent Joorabchian starts acting up trying to squeeze more cash out of us, id tell him to get lost and we should go for Eriksen or Pjanic instead.

I think Willian will happen irrespective of Bale's situation; same with a CB, probably the Romanian chap.

Then if Bale goes we'll bring in Lamela and Coentrao and bank the rest

Still think we might see a new striker in and one of Defoe and Adebayor out on the very last day, maybe even the last hour

I just had a look on RAWK to see if they think it is them that have come in and potentially offered a ****load more money and every thread title ends with (No Spurs).

Any GGers go over there to wind them up? They're like the kid whose lunch money we stole...
or...
