I get that he’s in tested at this level but equally he’s young and seemingly very promising, not eacbrly like we’ve got a top class striker he would clearly struggle to displace is it.

Odd one for me, I’d have loaned him again if we didn’t feel we had space for him, but I don’t think Solanke or Richy are top level, I’m not even sure they’re the level below.

He is a player I really liked, someone I feel could well be a top striker, and equally I don't think he was ready for what RDZ wants from us in the Prem and was thus happy to accept the club decision to sell him. But I'd love to see him smash it this season for sure...

It would have been good. But I assume being the back up wasn’t how he wanted his career to progress. And it was unlikely RDZ would have used him as anything other than a back up. It does feel like we have let one get away, but I can’t blame him for wanting something more than we could offer.
