Transfer Tittle-Tattle

Willy Boly
Matt Doherty - definitely want us to sign him if we are playing right wing back
Jan Bednarek

Three alternatives.

Wan Bissaka does indeed look good; it has to be borne in mind, however, that he's looking good in a system whereby he isn't expected to attack well and defend well as we would with us or City.
Hodgson is defend first and counter-attack when able, so he might not translates as well as imagined

His attacking game needs work, for sure, but it is improving. He generally operates a lot like our FBs do, as in the midfield ahead of him cuts inside and he is there to make width. Got a nice assist at the weekend.

As the focus is now all on win bassaka what about trying for fosuh mensah. He looked good, is he still out on loan from utd?

He started out like a house of fire when he first came into the Utd side, still only 21 and can/has played several positions. Another one who came up through the Ajax academy. Just the type of player that Poch could turn into a star, not sure Utd would let him come here though.

Fosu Mensa had a good game against us in the cup once but has been pretty average ever since

Definitely looked good, saw him a few times that year and he impressed each time.

And since done.... well basically nothing. Could be a player there, but feels more like a risk now than it would have a year or so ago.

Robert Skov could be a good addition if the reports are to be believed. 22 goals from the wing, even if it’s in Danish league, is good going.

What has happened to Moura, he’s hardly got a look in for an age.

Is it because he’s not a tidy footballer that keeps the ball all the time?

That’s not a bad thing, we need to mix it up.

It would seem Poch doesn't really like individual flair players. Lamela and Moura seem to have had their individuality knocked out of them. N'KD and N'Jai never really got a look in. Son has had his wings somewhat clipped, especially when Harry and Dele are playing.

Poch always talks about the collective. I don't think he is comfortable with individual flair players, who could change the game for us in an instant.

It is why we have to be sure he is going to be here for the long term before we sign any players. Then make sure they are players he actually wants.

Bit off for a manager to have an issue with flair players when one of his mantras is to take risks with the ball.

And when the like of Son gets loads of goals a season? Yes, wings definitely clipped...

Could it not be as simple as expecting every player to put in a shift for the collective? Thats what he asks isnt it?

Not "Oh no, you cant go and dribble or attack" (see the dozens of times a game Son loses the ball doing this)

but "Absolutely do you thing, but also make sure you get back and defend"
