Yeah, we often seem to buy these punts that "may become something" in the future, only for them to fade away. But then again, we keep buying starters that turn out brick as well, so maybe we should just start promoting more kids from the academy instead.

The absolute certain buys that would instantly improve the squad, seem to be either too expensive/complicated (f. Ex. Griezmann, Vlahovic), or don't fancy us (Kounde), so we then have to do it the hard way and be a bit more opportunistic and clever, and hope it turns out good.

Why do we have to keep playing this awful , ineffective , back 3/5 formation in Europe against absolute crap?
Can only think because we can then shoehorn in our two reserve "wingbacks" that can't defend in a flat back four and also because we don't have enough decent midfielders without using and overplaying our first team squad.
That shows in itself we need at least a right back and a centre mid seeing as Aurier and Ndombele have been ostracised.
