Transfer Rumour Discussion Thread

Tottenham head coach Andre Villas-Boas has revealed that Spurs have not yet completed their transfer business - and hinted that there could be some late deals taking place.

The north Londoners are set to sign Etienne Capoue, with a deal expected to be announced in the coming days but more players could be moving to White Hart Lane.

Villas-Boas said: “We still have lots of things to do. The last week in the transfer window can be surprising.

“I can’t tell you we have stopped in the transfer market because we haven’t, this means players coming in and players going out.

“We will continue to re-strengthen ourselves, but what we have at the moment is a very strong squad either way, one that puts us in a good position to get the three points at Palace.”

That's a fairly strong statement of intent, especially considering that the normal policy is to say that we won't be up to much or words to that effect...

The Eriksen and Ince signings have been imminent for at least a year now. :lol:

We are hearing Hull have agreed deals with Spurs for Tom Huddlestone (perm) and Jake Livermore (loan).
 
Dunno about all that.

Just surprised that after the Fascist's quotes about an English playmaker that they are just letting him go to a rival club.
 
AVB's mate Jason Burt on Twitter:

"They (Spurs) are going for it... a lot of good names in the frame. Can't say more."

When asked why he can't reveal any more he said:

"Not on Twitter. Buy the paper..."
 
Pleased with the Capoune deal and glad to have finally got shot of Huddlestone and Livermore. Both were not upto playing for Spurs and have struggled after being given plenty of chances. I dont know what Tom was talking about saying AVB has not given him enough chances?! Hes had loads and cant do it simple.
