Lennon---Van der vaart-------Bale
-------------defoe--------------

Wow, I never thought I'd see the day when most people would readily drop Luka Modric from a massive game. For what its worth I think he should have been dropped a long time ago along with Bale and BAE.

Just don't know where the goals are coming from...
Scored 0 at Liverpool
Scored 0 at Stevenage
Scored 2 at Arsenal
Scored 0 at Everton
Scored 0 at Chelsea
Scored 0 at Sunderland

Why the hell aren't we scoring away from home any more???!

On the flip side we only conceded in two of those games as well.

That team would suit me but I think there is a doubt over Kaboul.

What would Freidel do with his kicks?... it's bad enough when Ade wins 1 out of 5 but with VDV and Defoe we'd have to really step up our movement at the back to make sure the short option is always on.. even then QPR would snuff it out like other teams have recently.

I'd go for this aswell, although Kaboul won't be playing and might be missing for the rest of the season. Modric doesn't give a brick, he wants Chelsea to finish above us.

So this is the biggest game of our season so far, and some people want to drop Ade and Modric??

Ok, who is your dealer - that's some good sheet you smoking...

I never actually noticed he had Defoe in there instead of Ade #-o

But yes, drop the rat, I bet he's watching Chelsea right now thinking to himself that he only needs to sabotage us for 5 more games and he can go join his beloved Chelsea.

I think that's very harsh on Modric, tbf. From what I've seen I think his individual dip in form is partly down to positional indiscipline of other players, namely Parker, VDV and Bale.

Absolutely this this this this!

Sure, he may have not handled events over the summer in a dignified manner, so I can understand certain vitriol towards him. But I absolutely love watching the little man play. Easily our best player. Easily. Even during a bad team performance he's still wanting the ball, looking for the forward pass as much as possible or trying to gain a few yards before attempting to release a forward player who unfortunately isn't there a lot of the time.

Always head up, looking forward, looking for the killer assist or if not at least the pass that creates openings. He's a special player you can build a team around. I genuinely hope we are in a position to do this, rather than see him go to United or the like and watch him fly like pea****....

And for the people who are dropping Adebayor, just think of the second half of last season...I rate Defoe as a very good player, but he just cant play up front on his own.

People have very selective memories, they don't seem to remember when Defoe was our first choice and was anonymous for entire games. The man has no holdup play to speak of, his only use is with two up top

Roll it out to the full backs and hold the ball in midfield, I know its not ideal but we need to try something different, watching Ade up front on his own is painful, in his defence he gets no support at all, we squander possession far too much, you see someone do really well to retain the ball then he passes to Ade and it comes off him like a ping pong ball.

That he isn't brick?

If he is fit then we have no option, imagine the pressure on Nelsen, "triffic step in son and save our season" "yeah he a good boy you need people like him around a football club", I read somewhere that Kaboul went to see a specialist in France, have heard no more.

we need 5 in midfield with sandro and parker. QPR is going to come at us we need to do them on the break. i say drop VDV for Sandro. This should be how we play away. We almost nick it away to Chelsea i am sure we can do better with QPR. COYFS!
