*** Tottenham Hotspur v South Coast Big Club ***

Still livid, if and only if, the ref calls it offside is there even an argument to look at this and then it would be waved away in 2 seconds. The onfield decision was goal people, yet this got overturned!

Imagine if this was against Pool, there’d be a media campaign for a week about it and Klopp would be offering the ref out on the pitch like last week, yet it seems Keys and Gray are more tinkled off about it than most Spurs fans!

The onfield decision was a goal, but clearly the call was "clear and obviously wrong", haha - my ass. So disappointing. I haven't seen a VAR decision this bad before this season.

Mate, I can't get too tinkled off over this I'm still wrestling with the Mendes one at OT.

The refs will just hide behind that the lines are drawn and its a factual decision.

But to get away from these stupid decisions I thought they decided to draw thicker lines or something this season. Did they ever bother doing that in the end?

The doherty one is actually even worse as there is no excuse not to overturn that one. It even fits into their clear and obvious flimflam mantra.

Why didn’t we play a midfielder in defence and use Davies instead of Doherty as left wing back? Doherty was as effective as playing Lloris as striker. Just was obviously a bad fit as Doherty can’t use his left foot.

Really frustrating.

Didn't think the first half was that bad. Yeah they had some chances, but they ran themselves into the ground and was always going to tire. We had several good situations where we almost broke through, unsurprisingly we got through with Son in the end for the penalty.

Second half is a bit whatever. Thought we lacked a bit of urgency from the start of the half. We did end up creating a fair bit, it's always difficult against 10 men packed at the back. Think we should have done more, but a couple of subs were probably forced and a couple of players had not so good games going forward.

Need to improve, not all that bad, but just utterly frustrating.

And that, gentlemen, in a single game sums up precisely why we need a bullying centre forward. We were frankly abysmal in the first half. Every time it went up to Kane and Son , it came straight back at us. No hold up play.

In the second half when we were forced to put in plenty of crosses, no one to win the ball in the air.

A game of two halves - both pointing up the desperate need for a different type of centre forward to what we currently have.

Must have 5 defenders on the pitch at all times. Even against 10 men. [emoji28][emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji24][emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]

More than just a cf. We need a few.

I think the main takeaway is we rely on very few attacking players, and playing Sunday-Tuesday means we lose energy from our attack. If we had wing-backs who scored or assisted regularly that would take the pressure off our 3 man attack. Hojbjerg is flavour of the month for a kicking. But its not really him. It is Conte getting the balance right. Wing-backs, midfielders and even CBs can contribute more going forward. Kane, Son + one other are not always enough of an attack, especially when games are coming thick and fast. None of the rest of the 8 players are known for scoring or assisting. That is sometimes the issue I think.

Most of the crosses were crap. The problem is our WBs can't cross rather than the forwards

Weak.
We needed to really pen them in and strangle them until they died.
So frustrating that we didn't step on their throats today when they were lying half dead in the snow.

Conte got it wrong, we should have put Davies left side (if Reggie absolutely genuinely had to go off) and get some more goals and talent on the pitch. We know Hojbjerg is basically a centre half.

It was a Nuno performance.

Several poor headers iirc. Two by Son and one at the end by Kane.

We need another option up top. Llorente played his part in getting us to the CL final. United bring in a towering C F to get them over the line - Abramavic, the guy from China and now Cavani. We desperately need that option again.
