The Official 2022/23 Premier League Thread

Only downside is that this keeps Woolwich top of the table unless City get another couple so the media circlejerk will continue.

Wouldn't mind if we were flat track bullies. And, at the end of the day, if they beat all the teams they're supposed to beat, they'll be close to the 80 point mark. That's where top 4 or titties are won.

I seem to have this conversation on here every year for the last 7 or 8! Every time the Goons win a couple this place seems to lose it. Reality is they haven’t played anyone yet and won’t for a few weeks, if they don’t have a near enough 100% record after their 6 or 7 openers then they’d have dropped points on what their perceived rivals are likely to do in those same games.

Soft read but stupid tackle.

ASM is a player but reminds me of a good version of Traore. For all his skills and trickery, his end product is often awful.

Ref tried his best after failing with the red, let a couple of fouls go in the city half and added another 3 mins at the end, all in all a good weekend and makes our somewhat laboured 1-0 an even better result!

Harsh red with current rules, but I think it's borderline. Sensible to revert to yellow from the ref.
I don’t understand why tackles like Trippier’s, where it could result in an injury to the opponent and no attempt is made to play the ball, are only given a yellow. Give a red and players won’t do that.
