The Official 2017/18 Premier League Thread

To do what? I think we can do better than that and should be aiming for higher standards if we are serious about winning a trophy
Who is going to come and sit on the bench and watch Harry week in week out? Slim pickings I would say.

FFS I jinxed it, didn't I. Now we're destined for a draw, then Swansea and Soton losing, with WBA winning with a large margin on the weekend - que another two dreadfully frustrating WBA games for us next season

I don't have an extensive list but I'm sure the scouts will be on it. Further to that I think next year a striker should be brought in to challenge Kane. He should have been rested/dropped on a few occasions this season due to form/ injury which happens.

I don't see it mate. Recent form notwithstanding Kane is top dog and I can't see the club spending a huge amount of wedge on striker that will compete with him. Players of the pedigree to genuinely challenge him would cost too much. A kid or a journeyman type seems about right unless we persist with Son.

Swansea not down yet though. Huddersfield can save themselves ( and us) tomorrow, but I doubt it. Cant see Soton leaking enough goals to go down. 1 from 2 now

Huddersfield might lose to both Arsenal and Chelsea, but I wouldn't bet on Swansea beating Stoke. Will take a lot for Southampton to go down now.

And never come back!

Really happy from a Spurs point of a view that they are down.

They really have become a bogey team for us in recent years.

Oh - and a manager winning manager of the month and getting relegated on the same day.

Surely the first time in PL-history that has happened.

Swansea are like all the bad bits of Spurs rolled into one. Pretty but toothless; attempt flash moves that don't come off when playing simple is what's called for; take the odd pointless risk. A bit like looking in a dark mirror.
