Ten reason why we won't make 4th place

We're in a 4 way battle for 4th, which I expect Liverpool to win on the basis that they are currently playing the best football.
Suarez has as many goals as Defoe, Dempsey and Ade put together.

We can put out two relatively strong sides...it's not a disaster!

Lloris, Naughton, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Ekotto, Sandro, Dembele, Holtby, Bale, Adebayor, Lennon.

Friedel, Walker, Dawson, Caulker, Fryers, Parker, Huddlestone, Sigurddson, Dempsey, Defoe, Bentley.

Yes, it's not perfect, but the squad is looking pretty balanced for once. Really, I think we're reasonably covered up front - it's the wings that scare me. Fourth is most certainly on. Arsenal are rightly favourites, but their squad isn't exactly fantastic or balanced.

I'd be amazed if Liverpool finished 4th

Why isn't there a thread titled "Ten reasons why we will make 4th place" the negativity around here is sickening st times, it appears to be contagious too.

May 12 14:00 GMT Stoke City v Tottenham Hotspur Britannia Stadium Premier League
May 19 15:00 GMT Tottenham Hotspur v Sunderland White Hart Lane Premier League

Almost every single one of those fixtures look difficult. The easiest one is probably the last one, home vs Sunderland. We better start winning our home games or we won't finish 4th, that's for sure.

To me that looks like 8 reasons why we will fall away.

Between 2000 and 2012 the number of points needed to finish 1 point above 5th place (ie 4th ) has ranged from 57 to 68. Average 65.

Between 2000 and 2012 the number of points needed to finish 1 point above 4th place (ie 3rd ) has ranged from 61 to 77. Average about 70?

We currently have 42 points so we need 8/9 wins from 14 games to guarantee 4th.
If we can bag a couple of draws as well I think that will put us in with a shout for 3rd.
