Saudi Sportswashing Machine ratings..

Dembele did nothing with what possession he had. Also too slow to release the ball, dwells on it for tto long, even when good options are available. Don't know what all the fuss is about with this guy. What does he do? (Jenas?) Holtby...good first half, but faded after half time.

Did he player better than Dembele - miles; did he play as good as Dempsey - I think so; And please tell me what exactly did Holtby do other after the 20th minute? Answers on postage stamp please

Holtby faded in the second half, of course. You can tell he's a clever player, and anytime he had the ball he used it well and passed to one of his team mates. Something he could try and teach Parker, he's not going to survive past this season with AVB if he can't pass the ball. You have to offer more than what he's doing....

OMG!!!!!!! Punk criticising Parker. Who would have predicted it????

Pathetic - mate! Change your record - it's worn thin after two years in which your agenda against a player whose only crime is to give 150% every f******** game is clear to every regular on the board. Ironically you gave the same points to another player for getting "stuck in" when you have been criticising Parker for exactly this for two years.
I gave them the same rating as they both battled well but didn't play that well attacking. The reason I give Parker stick for just getting stuck in, is because that is all he is good at when on his game. I cannot fault his commitment and energy but he just isn't good enough for a top 4 club in terms of passing, decision making, physical attributes and tactical brain.

Calm down mate, are you Parkers fking boyfriend or something?

If appreciating a player who gives 150% and who is constantly slated for something he is not in the team for, then no problem whatsoever. After all, we all know what your predictions of Parker were last season and how that panned out... I predicted that Parker would be an ever present uner Redknapp, you ridiculed that and had to eat humble pie. You blamed that on Redknapp; yet we now have another manager who seems to be playing him game in game out leaving Huddlestone - who you said was miles better - no even on the bench.

I asked you once and will do it again: what will it take for you to give Parker an 8 or 9 in a game? Still waiting, mate...

Your having a laugh about Parker he was excellent today, Dembele was the one who slowed our game down and kept getting caught in possession, offensively he was tripe.

Mate, I agree with you, but you're going to have to re-evaluate your expectations if you think Punk or anyone else on this forum or any football forum for that matter is going to come on here and admit they were wrong. Doesn't bother me if certain people don't rate a player, but I can't for the life of me figure out what he sees in Huddlestone that makes him miles better than Parker. He's barely scored more than Parker in his career on average despite the fact that he has a much better shot than Parker and is a better passer. Parker is superior in just about every other aspect of the game.

Just got in and glad we won again while i was in the crowd, i was starting to worry.

Lloris 7 could do nothing with the goal.

Walker 6.5

Dawson 8 love that block at the end of the game.

Caulker 6.5 so so im waiting for him to explode maybe in a season or so times. Nearly got a goal with his header and i think he is a good threat for us at set pieces.

Naughton 6.5 love how hars he tries but he should be given a run at right back.

Lennon 8 i fudging love him my favourite player at the club now, works so hard for the team.

Parker 6 lots of hard work and running and lots of running round in circles as usual, seeing sandro for us has ruinned it for me, not a bad player parker but he aint sandro did enough today and is better then livermore so he can keep his place but if we want to progress we need to find a better player then him in the summer because a brick Saudi Sportswashing Machine midfield had him in their pockets at times today.

Demeble 6 Not very good today and i am still to figure out his best position, a very good player but i do not know what he is yet.

Bale 9 would have got a 10 but for the miss, he is up there with the best i have ever seen at spurs and if he works on his right foot i might be talking about him as the best ever. Lovely guy awesome footballer.

Holtby 7.5 Good first half seemed tired second but he is still settling in and has some lovely touches.

Dempsey 6 Yeah he is a hard worker and a good runner but his lack of pace allowed Saudi Sportswashing Machine to push up and put our midfield under more pressure he is also not an out and out goal scorer and im not sure what he brings to the team, i know he can pop up with goals but we need to look into an upgrade in the end of season period if we want to continue to improve.

subs
Ekotto 7.5 not sure why he was dropped unless he was resting him because of europe midweek, but with the amount of time he has missed he does not need to be rested. Love benny and he is our top left back.

Ade 7 not on long but did some nice touches, some awful ones as well. Hope he can play himself into some form.

Livermore 6.5 Not really on long enough i like the lad and hope he plays against lyon hard worker.

Why does AVB keep picking Naughton ahead of a proper left back and why keep chopping and changing the back 4?

Other than that, he's getting almost everything right at the moment.

Mourinho did the same at times. Maybe he saw weaknesses in Newcastles team that certain Spurs players' could exploit.

One of these belongs to Parker, the other to Moose.

WRONG!

Just kidding, you're right. As for Benny not playing, I thought it was down to him being late back from Cameroon?

Lloris 7 - How fast is this guy off his line?!

Walker 7 - Decent, got a little lost for the 1st goal but not bad otherwise
Dawson 7 - Some great blocks
Caulker 6.5 - Not quite at it but wasn't troubled all that much
Naughton 6 - Thought he did well 1st half but started to lose it in the 2nd half. He handicaps us going forward(not his fault)

Lennon 6 - Mostly for his off the ball work, was still sprinting around after 95 minutes
Parker 6 - Ten for effort, two for quality ..
Dembele 6 - Not his best game, kept it wel late on
Bale 9 - Nothing needs to be said

Holtby 7 - Started well but faded, worked hard
Dempsey 5 - Was more of a hindrance than anything

Ade 6 - Helped us up top but still looks a bit clumsy
Ekotto 7 - Got really stuck in on a few occasions and played a great ball to bale late on
Livermore n/a

Lloris 7 - there when needed

Walker 6 - some good work but lost his man for their goal and fudged-up once too often going forward

Dawson 6 - some critical headers, decent overall

Caulker 6 - the boy has class so why does he make me nervous?

Naughton 5 - shows signs he has the quality but once again failed to deliver

Lennon 8 - mostly excellent going forward, especially late on, but it's his chasing back that gets him the extra mark

Dembele 6 - worked hard but things not really going for him atm

Parker 6 - the usual mix of decent chasing, tackling and erratic passing

Holtby 7 - impressive! the boy has a decent shot and can see a pass alright

Bale 9 - world-class today, unless you're a gooner

Dempsey 6 - looked as though the midweek trip had taken too much out of him

Subs

Ade 6 - looked up for it for once

BAE 7 - made a difference when he came on

Livermore n/a

Think you're harsh on Dempsey Rossi, other than that I'd be inclined to agree with your comments....

LLoris 6 No problem again

Walker 6 Did well

Dawson 8 Very impressed with him today, solid and threw himself around when it was much needed

Caulker 7 Fine

Naughton 5 Not very good, especially going forward

Lennon 6 Used his pace, but no end product

Dembele 7 Did well against solid players

Parker 6 Good pressing and tackling but awful with the ball

Bale 9 Simply the best

Holtby 6 Average, bright start but faded away

Dempsey 7 Got stuck in

Lloris 7 - Solid not really called upon but made a good save towards the end.
Walker 5.5 - Lost his man for their goal and was poor going forward.
Dawson 6.5 - Solid enough but tends to lunge in too much.
Caulker 6 - Some shaky moments but decent.
Naughton 5.5 - Not a left back. Poor distribution.
Lennon 6.5 - A couple of runs but a quiet day from Azza.
Dembele 5 - No end product, can look great on the ball but eventually goes sideways or loses the ball. Added very little today.
Parker 5.5 - Combative, but obviously instructed to provide a more rounded performance. Parker has his strengths but its not pass or attacking the final third. Poor today.
Bale 8 - What would we do without his goals. Bale provided moments but didn't impact the game as much as I'd like.
Holtby 6.5 - Lively first half lead to a quiet second before being subbed. Decent.
Dempsey 5.5 - Provided very little up front not strong enough against the Saudi Sportswashing Machine defence. Kept attempting long range efforts with weak shots.

Not scoring Subs.

AVB 7 - Pleased we're using rotation, but I'm still worried as a team we have not reached the heights we're capable of on a consistent basis. Slow build up play is all good and well if you have someone who can unlock the door and players good enough to make the runs, but we don't have those players. Far too reliant on Bale atm.

Agree - except Dawson 7.5 the mainstay of our defense and Bale 9.5 - it was the GB show AGAIN. I keep asking what would we do without him. Won our last two games singlehandedly and was personally responsible for 5 extra points from our last three games. Others need to step up and help out. He cant keep being a one man show forever Deserved a hat-trick and a 10 today.
