I would like to see Townsend succeed but his performance yesterday, coupled with his low output, in terms of goals and assists, leads me to think that he doesn't have a future with the club. That said, if he manages to find a way to fulfil his potential, we could be the ones smiling at the end of the day. So I'll continue to support him whilst he continues to wear a Spurs shirt.

Such a shame the same cant be said about some of the people sat around us yesterday when he made the mistake that led to the goal.
Some of the abuse he got was out of order. The lad made a mistake ffs he didnt run over anyone's relative .

Okay, sometimes his decision making is bizarre but the lad is still learing, like you say, while he wears the shirt he will get my support. He's a local lad who I would love to see come good

Exactly. There's no evidence we were ever in for him. Just as likely to have been his agent trying to squeeze every penny out of the deal by hinting that another team were in the running.
