Racism in football

Calling a black person a monkey is hardly the same as killing Jews at synagogue or singing from the river to the sea. There is very little racism against black people in this country, regrettably we are seeing more and more antisemitism, largely fuelled by a weak government as well as white middle class students and Muslims. Once more, I don't condone racism directed at black people, but in the grand scheme of things it falls into the realms of insignificance. As you well know we are a Jewish football club, and have been for many years, I fear the day there is an atrocity at our stadium, and all people like you will do is stand up for the perpetrators because they aren't white
Despite what you say, you have literally just condoned racism directed at black people by calling it insignificant (oh, and maybe ask a black person whether or not there is in fact “very little racism against black people in this country”.)
It’s not a competition as to what type of racism is the worst. Calling black people “monkey” is despicable. Anti-semitism is despicable.
Trivialising one compared to the other is despicable. Deciding without being the victim that racism is insignificant is despicable.

You've moved the goalposts.

From arguing that 'hurty words' were just woke nonsense you are now switching to compare different forms of prejudicial language (antisemitism isn't racism as being jewish is actually a choice still and religion isn't the same as ethnicity even if it can be a major component of that ethnicity).

Anything violent is significantly worse than anything verbal in that acute moment but chronic discrimination is a very real negative impact on lots of peoples lives and shouldn't be dismissed as 'hurty words' or not a 'real world problem'. It also generates the environment in many situations that lead to the violence that you fear.

How is singing (the Likud manifesto creation that has been adopted by Hamas) "from the river to the sea" anything more 'hurty word' than using racist language? Words are just words surely?? No matter what they imply.

Christ almighty. If you think I condone anti semitism or defend terrorists just because they are of a particular race or nationality, you’re trying to force me into this “woke lefty” stereotype that you’ve constructed in your own head.

Despite your protestations to the contrary you do condone racism and racist views if you dismiss calling black people monkeys as banter or insignificant.

@veryoldspur is a bigot. And a troll that many here engage with try to counter the bigotry.

It's not indignant ignorance, it's an opinion gained through experience. In your world and the world of the woke people should ignore those experiences in order they can fit in with a narrative.

I refer you back to my original comments, I do not condone racism, I simply believe it's all been taken to far and isn't the massive crime it's being portrayed as. At present I am far more concerned with the massive amount of antisemitism that is allowed to continue. This is genuine and dangerous hatred rather than a bit of banter. This disgusting government isn't just allowing it to happen, but because the majority of the perpetrators come from a community they consider their voters they are encouraging it through their lack of action. The Nazis in a different form are raising their head, whilst thousands of flag waving fools sing "From The River To The Sea"

I had written something else but concluded it was a waste. You're just a race-baiting troll.
