Spurs Player's Statistics 2012-13

The combined 11 league goals between Dempsey, Sigurdsson and Adebayor is really poor. Van Der Vart alone scored 11 league goals last season. Really expected more goals from Dempsey and Sigurdsson than the combined 8 goals. After his early form, thought Dempsey would score atleast 10-12 goals. The fact a defender like Vertonghen has scored more league goals than him, should be a really humiliating stat for Adebayor. Lennon and Dembele should be scoring more goals as well. I think 11 goals is an acceptable return from Defoe.

Fortunately for us, Bale stepped up to contribute the majority of our goals. Without Bale's goals, we will probably in mid table now. Just hope Bale can score atleast 2 more to surpass the 20 league goals mark.

I think Bale has a very good chance of overtaking Luis Suárez for second place this season - he just needs another three goals and/or assists from our remaining four matches.

I would agree that the Premier League goalscoring form of all our players (bar Bale & Defoe) has been rather lackluster this season.

The combined 33 goals and assists for Dempsey and Siggurdsson this season is actually quite good.

VDV played every single game when he was fit, in his best position. Dempsey and Sigg have been in and out of the side and played all over the shop.

Sig has played about 22 games, Dempsey about 28 over the season, and both of them have been pretty regular in our Europa and Cup sides.

(games played approximated by minutes played over 90)

To take two of our best three goal/assist per minute and say they have underperformed is a bit odd to say the least.

Agreed

wow 7 assists for Defoe? Obviously not so greedy anymore. Or does a rebound from one of his shots at the keeper count as an assist?

Yes, a shot which is parried by a goalkeeper and slotted-in by a team-mate counts as an assist.

Indeed.

I wonder about his assists. I wonder about all the assist stats TBH. Modric got none a season and none last night.

Mr Adebayor. Conspicuous by his absence.

Don't be too hard on him, he has serious competition in that list with the likes of Walters, Snodgrass and Torres.

Wow, Theo above his team mate and Mata. And compare his stats to Lennon! Then again, if he has been playing as a striker, it makes Cazorla's (and Mata's) contribution more impressive. Were Hazard and Mata assisting each other?
