I have said it before but for me he has been our best signing of the last window, he may not be the most talented but he has been the most important ( so far).

That is a decent comparison to be honest. Mackay was as hard as nails ( came back from two broken legs during a time when that happened it usually led to a player having to pack it in). Pierre has not been here long enough to get the reputation Dave had but he has made a good start.
