I never thought we should have signed him in the first place.

He was never going to get in the first 11, but the ironic thing is we could have actually used him now to possibly play instead of Bale, who is just one of our many players who needs a good kick up the arse! But then again, he couldn't help us last season when we struggled in the second half of the season.
 
Pienaar was absolute pants in every game he played bar the Milan game. He was roundly slaughtered in every OMT if I recall correctly.

Yes he is playing well again for Everton but he didn't show that form for us. That's not to say we shouldn't have kept him in case he was needed but lets not rewrite history. Pienaar is not the answer.
 
People arent saying he's the answer but having added squad depth would certainly be part of the answer, we have no one to rotate with as we've flogged half our squad
