Re: Boo Boys.

I've heard ****s and dingdongheads sometimes enjoy each other's company. 8-[

Well, do you go to matches and slate the team for the whole time, not bring any positivity into the air, and leave early under a cloud of swear words? Those sorts of people are ****s - no-one would want to be their friend or socialise with them if they have such an outlook on life.

No I don't slate the team the whole time. I just can't bear watching 83 minutes of pure brick.

I have had a st 17 years and have seen some brick and some good stuff. As said before I can leave whenever I want. You thinking I'm a Cnut for doing so won't change my mind. I have many many friends and have a good outlook on life. I'm sorry football is a game and if I'm bored of soemthing I will leave. The sad people are the people like you that let it take over your life.

I wish I'd spent more time with my ex gf than at spurs as let's face it football is brick and pathetic now like most of the supporters and it's only a game.

Re: Boo Boys.

How do 'Pool do it? They've been brick and still had great support, and they've been great and still had great support. How are we such fickle ****s while they're such great supporters?

A laughing stock, sure, but one with great supporters nonetheless.
Liverpool have the worst support of any 'big club' in the Premier League IMO, home + away. Also, only in the last three years have they been anywhere near 'brick' (which is only in relation to their expectations) - and they've still won a trophy. Let's not forget that not very long ago they were Champions League regulars.

Re: Boo Boys.

Is this a joke? :ross:

I take it you've not been to Anfield

The support is absolute brick. Sky make it seem great by turning up the Liverpool anthem during YNWA at the start

But believe me, the ground is like a morgue

I've never been to Anfield, nah. Only watched it on the telly for the last twelve years when we went up there. But surely it isn't that bad? YNWA is probably the only football anthem apart from the slow 'Oh when the Spurs' one that can make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, and it seems to get me every time I watch them, so...?

And, in any case, ArnieArdiles probably nailed it; at the very least, I never heard them boo their team off twice in the same game, or when a player missed a pass or screwed up a clearance. At least, I don't think so.

Re: Boo Boys.

Nutty, let me be clear, I have paid £55 for tickets and witnessed some real brick inc the 4-3 against city in 2004, I have never booed and never left early ( I was also at the shower of brick that was Norwich at home last season). The point I was trying to make is that £50 is a lot of money for people like me. If you pay that much for a meal you expect it to be almost cordon bleu brick. If you pay that much for the theatre you expect the show to be great. Likewise if you are going to a football match your expectation is likely to be higher. Its not about passion or how good a fan you are. The thing however, that irritates me most are the self righteous supporters who think it is their place to judge who is a worthy supporter and who is not. Frankly I am not old enough to have seen the relegation but I have supported Spurs through the last 32 years I have suffered enough heartache to justify being angry, disillusioned etc.

This is exactly the problem - football is a sport, not a service. I do understand that the prices are expensive and that tinkles me off, but that's not the players or manager's decision, and no-one has forced you to pay that amount. You're paying to go and watch a match of sport between two teams - the fact that you're paying a lot of money doesn't mean that you can demand a certain level of performance. I absolutely think you can expect a certain level of effort, but I don't think Livermore was misplacing all of his passes because he wasn't putting enough effort in. Bale and Sigurdsson didn't shoot straight at the keeper because they weren't trying very hard. Sometimes the team will have a bad day, and it's the fact that people booed the team in the FIRST home game of the season, despite the fact that the performance wasn't even that bad, that makes me ashamed of the booers, and self-righteous or not - makes me think that the club would be better off without those 'supporters'.

Re: Boo Boys.

Any of you fcking boo my Tottenham again and I'll cut you!

I mean it!

I don't really mean it. Fcking pi55es me off though.

Re: Boo Boys.

Get down to the Spurs vs Barca NextGen game next week & see how support should be given!!

Worth £3 of anyones money!

Re: Boo Boys.

If we don't win against Barca I'm gonna burn my £3 ticket and swear in the general direction of the pitch!!!!!!!

Sing Up if you love tottenham

all this stuff in the media..the likes of these pundits like Alan Shearer (in the Sun) whoring for Redknapp and slagging Levy (who has alot to answer for) but buidling the pressure on us unreasonably is doing one thing....its making me want AVB to succeeed even more....making him want to stick two fingers up at all of them. So far he has conducted himself with nothing other than class and dignity- respecting our traditions...and he gave a very honest post match assessment.

I am a boo boy- I admit this BUT no more I have had enough............

We must get behind the manager and show the press what we are and who we are. Cut out the in fighting and sing up...or we will slide into the mire.

Re: Sing Up if you love tottenham

Theres no adgenda, they are just writing what everyone is thinking. Is AVB making the same mistakes he made at Chelsea re: quick overhaul.

Re: Sing Up if you love tottenham

Exactly this. F**kers the lot of em.. Especially Peter Hill Wood. I would love it, absolutely LOVE it, if we can gel pretty quickly and shut some of these tossers up!!!

Arsenal chairman Peter Hill Wood, speaking to the Evening Standard: "We have a pretty good chance of challenging for the Premiership. I don't see why we cannot win it this year.

"It is not a worry to the board that we haven't won a trophy since 2005. It would be lovely to win but it's not that easy. Liverpool haven't won the title for 20-odd years. We're very ambitious and want to win but, if you don't have billions of petro-dollars to throw around, you're going to have to do it some other way. That's what we're trying to do — with skilful selection of players. As for Walcott, he did not accept our offer so nothing is happening.

"I do not see Spurs posing a problem for us this season. Their new manager [Andre Villas-Boas] may be a great success but they have to find a stadium. That's going to be very difficult. Finding a site and financing it is a major problem which we know all about."

Is he though? Surely everyone understands he has no King and Modric this year, changes had to be made, deadwood sold etc. The starting 11 has hardly been overhauled. The few new players we have signed have also barely trained with each other let alone all started a game together.. I wish I could just switch off all the media for a month and then wait and see where we are then.
