****OMT***** Tottenham Hotspur vs. West Bromwich Albion - 26/12/13: 3pm

Oh Lordy Lord.........

By all accounts it didnt look like AVB wanted to fight for his job anyway.......hence the mutual consent decision, who knows what went on after pool in the evening and following morning.......I was a big fan of AVB.....I was desperate for him to suceed here.....I loved his passion from the touchline last season....but that seemed to be missing this season....if you ask me he never quite recovered from the whole Bale thing..........

Basically WHATS THE POINT in going on about AVB anymore.....personally I Just want to forget!!!!

Lets get some bloody perspective here.....for months we have been playing like strangers for the most part......while we all woop wooped at the time (me included) seven new signings were always going to take time to bed in.....(especially as none of them were PL proven).

Basically if it was meant to be AVB would still be here....the fates have not been kind....but for Gawds sake it was Levy's deciscion and he should be big enough and clever enough not to be swayed by one individual......again I believe....though I cant offer proof that AVB could have carried on if he met Levy after pool and showed Levy he had the desire to turn it around......bottom line he didnt!!!! if the sacking was planned we would have had someone lined up....as it is Tim fills the breach...... The only difference between Tim and ALL the posters that were hammering AVB is that he is part of the club and yes he may have had Levy's ear.....how many of us would talk to Levy if we werent happy with something.......so basically

-Stop using Tim as the spacegoat for AVB being sacked........this is a pathetic ......Levy is his own man......basically its down on AVB he could have done more to still be here!!!!!
-Understand we have lots of injuries in key positions and players who are playing that should have been eased in......because they werent they are struggling.
-Understand that petty squabbling and entrenching in a 'team avb' or 'team sherwood is pointless

Er no sorry Nigey, some might have evidence that TS directly caused AVB's sacking but that not really the point. The point is that it's quite likely we have sacked our manager who was admittedly going through a very bad patch and replaced him with a managerial novice. One that is likely driving our car that is already wrecked off the edge of a cliff.

Put it this way, all those who are roaring 'go Tiger Tim' now, will be roaring something totally different if/when our season is over after January the 4th. If we enter that or the Manure game with NO designated DM we'll see then how people react

How do you know TS will not play a DM ( or even two) against Man U and Arsnl?

Not at all. Paulinho has been suspended and Sandro injured. Dembele has played in this role when available, today he wasnt. Far too early to make these wild assertions.

But Capoue who is a specialist in that role WAS available so actually it isn't a wild assertion at all

But TS obviously doesn't fancy him there at this moment in time. Maybe his dire performance at CB against wet Spam had something to do with it.

Evidence what Evidence??????

AVB has no-one but himself to blame for his dismissal....once people get their head around that simple truth we can all finally move on.

I agree, Capoue should have started....but neither me or you know for definete whats going on with Capoue....there may be a good reason...there may not...I agree it may be total naivety on tims part....AVB played two dm's tims playing none......surely the answer is somewhere in the middle.

I am not roaring for tim I just want our team to be sucessful.......let me ask you a question...whats more important in the future???? you being proved right about Tim being clueless or spurs being sucessful this season????

because honestly I dont know anymore..... If its not the team killing my dreams about a succesful spurs its certain posters on this board finally killing off my hope.

I get your unhappy about Tim being appointed but the crap from GB and other negativity on this board about our season being over is massivley depressing!!!!!

Which is ridiculous if that is how TS is judging as he's not a CB. It's like judging Dawson as poor when he's played at right-back and has a mare

A very good question. I would also be interested in the answer to this one.

Ok to answer your questions:

I don't have evidence that TS directly caused AVB's sacking but many posters refer to such. That's why I didn't labour that point.
I only want Spurs to do well, but am still miffed that we go round in circles with managerial appointments and lack patience.
From manager who had some experience and went a season unbeaten to a complete Novice who the red tops and Sky will no doubt be far easier on.
I understand that some sections of the media will be biased against us most of the time (and a major good thing with having Harry in charge is that the pressure we could have been under at times was far less due to being chums etc)

I now think quite frankly we as Spurs fans get the managers we deserve; we weren't prepared to give AVB time (due to him being too methodical) and now we have an 'up-and-at em' bulldog of a manager. If we bomb out later this season due to lack of planning, fitness, structure or methodology then we as fans will have only ourselves to blame imo. Sad but true

No really a clear answer to the simple question posed by Nigeyman and highlighted by me.

I am just as miffed as you....AVB is another dead dream.

At least its fair to say neither of us know what went on?????if there is no evidence other than a poxy interview with Keys & Gray then I DONT think its fair to keep blaming Sherwood as to why AVB left.....incidentally I think AVB was a top bloke a real nice guy.....part of why I wanted him to suceed.....maybe he was to nice....its just a thought but maybe we NEED a nasty manager with the players we have......again its all pie in the sky.

Your issue is with Levy....I belive the fire died in AVB's heart......again the fates decided it wasnt meant to be...its done he's gone no point in going round in circles anymore. we can debate AVB till the cows come home but it wont bring us any joy.

I get the whole worlds against us thing as well...I think it myself at times

Be careful in labelling Sherwood as a bulldog of a manager though...common sense says we need more time to evaluate him and get players back and see what he picks......I just hope we get stronger as season progresses......bar rubbish home form we would be having a pretty decent season.....

That is only half an answer.

" I only want Spurs to do well this season and would like to be proven wrong with regard to my vindictive spleen toward TS" would be better. ;)

Find me what i have I said about TS that has been vindictive ;)

Let's hope we can both look back at this as the trough before the peak eh?
Don't agree with AVB being 'too nice' though. His treatment of Ade and BAE show that to clearly NOT be the case
