*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa FC ***

He is brick mate like them all we got nothing going forward
Rubbish. Pause the match and look at the options him and Odobert have when they have the ball. It's shocking. By the time the receive the ball everyone is 10yds behind them and stay there until we cut back. Same for Xavi. Villa have runners supporting the ball quickly. They catch up to the players and make runs. That's everyone against us

Went to the stage version of the Spy Who Came in From The Cold.

Was very good

Been on a bit of a Le Carre binge.

Watched both versions of Tinker Tailor recently as well.

cool, I'm a massive fan too, both of the TTSS are amazing

shame they didn't follow up with Gary Oldman on the rest of the books, he was great as Smiley

Our players look scared stiff. Can’t blame them. Frank is not our man, but we shoot ourselves in the foot with the insane critique and ridicule of our team, nevermind the booing.

That performance was a disgrace. I’m not blaming anyone in particular because overall this situation is a mess. Our season is effectively over today, barring a miracle in the second half.

The players have given up. Gray was extremely lazy for their first goal. Everyone was lazy for their second. Danso just hoofs it forward when he has time on about 43 mins and it’s just ridiculous.

This breaks whatever faith in Frank I had unfortunately. I like the guy. I don’t think it’s all his fault. But this is dreadful. The season is over today, and we sacked a trophy winning manager to literally waste the next season. Whatever foundations Frank would establish long term, it simply isn’t worth the season being wasted.

My only explanation is that asking the players to learn a whole new method after forging a trophy through the fire of the circumstances faced last season was an extremely stupid decision. There’s only so much you can give as a human being psychologically, and the moment things have gotten tough here the players just have nothing left to give. They ran all the way up a mountain for someone else and achieved greatness. And were then told actually it’s going to be something new.

I can’t recall a club sacking a manager that had such obvious recent success where the players were also still enthusiastically behind the guy. I literally cannot think of another example. And I think that’s the reason we see what we see today.

It’s a mess. This season is wasted. Whatever we were hoping to achieve with Frank, whatever long term foundations he was laying. It simply was not worth wasting this whole season. This performance is a disgrace with the season on the line.

Do I think it’s all his fault? No. Do I think another manager would come in and make a massive difference? Who knows at this point. Would I be shocked or offended if they gave him the boot tonight? At this point, honestly, not really. What an absolute state we are in.

We dont really know unfortunately.

But the problem right now is you cant see where our next win is coming from. Really it should be next week, but is anyone confident that right now we will, and we cant afford to lose next week, thats where we are right now

Watching Burnley today, I can see us getting turned over there in 2 weeks time, so winning next week is a must for me

I've been doing that, re read the book too

Read his family made a deal with Amazon I think, there's a new TV series coming that's going to do the whole saga.

It's not the misplaced passes that's concerning, it's the fact there isn't a decent pass on a lot of the time because of the lack of movement that is the cause half the time.

Villa are a very well coached team so don't want to be too critical of Frank, but this all feels like it's slipping away from him right now. Next to no one will say with any real confidence we will beat West Ham next week, that's how low we have sunk....

nice, I'm looking forward to the night manager s2, but I assume its not based on any original work so could be hit or miss

watched The Constant Gardener again the other week, such a good film too

This is even worse than expected. Which isn’t saying much. It’s like watching a Sunday league side play against Brazil 1970. Absolutely pathetic.

My vote for ‘Frank needs time’ is looking increasingly worthless. 3 points for West Ham next week.
I still hope he stays and gets a couple more signings in this window....but the ENIC regime will likely soon pull the trigger on him to shift the focus away from themselves.

1st fuxking attack they have. So fudging easy!! Absolute brick defending from Porro!

that first goal, VDV awol, Porro completely lost

amateurs
VDV rarely gets called out for actually being a pretty brick defender.

You think we would be seeing anything differet without the change? The change hasn't worked but this is exactly what I was expecting without the change.
